Could that be to sign on loan to us?

Probably not, but why not.

Going to Leeds apparently.

Double figures for Smogport last season and their leading scorer by a country mile this season. Last season's top scorer, Madden, wandered off to Chesterfield (how has that worked out? Hmm, out of the squad more than in and a couple of League goals) and Olaofe who wasn't far behind him, but has yet to score a slack handfull this season either. I'm jumping all over jjamez's possible thread info again aren't I? Soooorrrreeee!!

Well he can go now. We have a new left wing back from the Netherlands. Ruben Roosken.

A lot of people on social media seem to think that the Joe Taylor signing is a certainty. But what do we know about him? Is he any good? I know he can't be as bad as Freddie and Bojan, but is he what we want? Is he the fox in the box we so deperately need?

Looking at his record, last season he was on loan at Colchester and Lincoln, where he did alright. Double figures for both clubs in half a season each. But this season, he's had 12 sub appearances in a struggling Luton team without scoring.

I hope we do sign him, because what we have now is totally inadequate. But let's not put all our faith in one young man. Let's get two or three strikers in and ship a few out. You know the ones I mean (not Marshall).

We definitely want Taylor and he is desperate to sign for us. As for his record at Luton this season, lots of sub appearances with a total of 169minutes on the pitch so 14mins on average. not a lot of time to get up to speed on the pitch.

Compare that to the last season at Colchester and Lincoln where he averaged 78mins a game and returned 21 goals and 5 assists from the 44 games he played. I’d say he’s just one of the things we need up front, the other being someone to hold the ball up and bring him into play.

Are we putting all our eggs in the Taylor basket again?

They wouldn't let him go without a replacement in summer, so are we going to have to wait and wait

And wait, for them to finally allow him to leave. Or perhaps they will take the money, let him. Go early and have a window to replace him. Like you said, not many minutes, so they obviously have other options that they use.

Yet we feel he'll be the second Messiah, who guides us to promotion, which fully match fit he may well be a game changer, but I don't think he will be match fit, but he's been on the bench all season, so he's game ready.

Stick him front with Callum Marshall. The pair of them at ~5'6" tall will bring back memories of Micky Butler and Terry Gray. All we need then is a Steve Bains and a Peter Hart to pump long high balls upfield to them to compete against lads nearly a foot taller (circa 1975-76) and just miss out on the promotion places again.

Headley got off the train from Manchester to Brizzle at Stoke and has signed for Port Vale. Fee undisclosed (well I never).

Some tedious link to Dion charles yet some fans arent impressed. Hes scored 30 goals on the last two seasons at this level, not as many yet this time but missed the early season injured, but still had managed more than all our strikers.

I think he'd be a good signing if true. Right money obviously
