Well, if I thought not posting a thread would change Hibs' horrific history of promising so much and delivering so little, I was wrong. Even the Royal Mail has a better record of efficiency and performance!
To quote Michael Stewart, "Wow, wow, wow. Hibs are awful, they're awful".
And as soon as I post that, Hibs score through Dwight Gayle to go into half-time all square.

Some brief comments re this result - a welcome win and 3 pts, no doubt!! However, Hibs fans can be under no illusions re the player probs that have been self-evident for a while and certainly came to the fore in this match and the stark realisation that many Hibs players are not good enough to wear a Hibs jersey- the 1st half histrionics exposed a huge lack of character with a good number of players who couldn't handle the pressure v another team of players who realised the enormity of this particular match to their football club and they were gonna "show up". David Gray fittingly put it "in a nutshell" by saying, post-match, that "We've played a lot better than this in other games and got nothing"!! Thank god some good fortune favoured us v a team that Hibs should be beating with aplomb! I still think David Gray is "out of his depth" tactically and in player choices. He is a coach trying to be a competent manager in my humble opinion I wish him well, but seriously can't see him overcoming the probs that I've been observing for months. One thing I'm delighted with is the fact he replaced Bursik although that decision should've been made about 11 weeks ago. I hope our forlorn CF Bowie returns asap because it may help out Gray during this challenging time. Anyway, Hibs have "jumped" to eighth place in the Scot Prem - well done! Lotsa work still to do all the same - roll on to the Jan transfer window eh!!

We've definitely come a long way forward in our attitude and commitment, but it's still impossible to ignore our failings which will keep us in a tense situation. Any win at the moment will probably keep SDG in his job. If he gets the chance to buy in the January window, we'll see how suited he is to the job.

It wasn't a good performance but we got the points and hung in there i guess.
The way we started the game was unbelievably bad really. I think 0762 has a point about Gray being a coach trying to be a manager. I felt Montgomery was the same to a degree, and it highlights the lack of ambition the board have for the club.
But there were worrying passages of play today where nobody seemed to have the foggiest what was going on. Ross County are far from a good team but they were turning us over with ease in the 1st half.

What a Sunday that was !!!
Hertz losing to 10 men at Killie staying bottom as a result.
Sevco tears and impotent rage at hampden as their trophy haul (many illegally gained) is overtaken.
And last but not least the unraveling of that plonker Guardiola at man city.
Merry Xmas!
