This is a curious read/article while Scottish footie clubs like Dumbarton and ICT are casualties of their own financial mismanagement. Rangers FC still trading and, by all accounts, their debts have risen even higher than their previous formal statement of fiscal strife, which I strongly believe is much worse than being officially admitted by RFC. Intriguing!!

The tribute act have run up 100s of millions of debt, never turned a profit since liquidation and have had endless share issues churned out to keep the lights on time and again. It simply wouldn't be allowed at any other club. The days of sugar daddies like Murray have gone now. UEFAs Fair play regulations have totally fucked sevco, its all about having proper player trading models, good facilities, a capable boardroom and balance sheets now.

The huns are miles off that, their stadium is a dump, they don't have any real sellable assets, and sellick will be picking up the Euro cash for the foreseeable because they have worked all this stuff out while the original rangers were circling the drain.

And that's before we even touch the public funds that were wasted on those ridiculous prosecutions of their administrators.... Or the fact their manager is an absolute spoofer who they will struggle to pay off and replace.

The tragedy of clubs like ICT and Dumbarton is a whole different thing entirely. In the latters case it looks like a case of fraud that will be investigated. I'd like to see a club continuing in Inverness and Dumbarton saved, they are one of our oldest clubs.
