LAST MATCH

We went out of the Carabao Cup but put up a decent effort before losing on penalties. We made a bunch of changes, 9 I think, Brentford made just 4. The Bees bossed the first half and took the lead when Schade put in the rebound from his initial shot. Charles made a couple of saves to keep 1-0 at the break. Onto the 2nd half and we equalised early, Gassama firing in from 25 yards. We had a couple of chances saved by Flekken, while Charles made a few saves the other end but the game ended 1-1 and into a penalty shootout. It was Palmer who missed the final kick as we lost out 5-4.

THE MATCH

Back to league action as Watford make the journey north. Watford made a great start to the new season winning there first five games in both league and cup. They have tailed off a bit since then and currently lie 7th in the table and there current form is won 3 and lost 3 from there last 6 games. They are managed by Tom Cleverley who played for them 137 times, he took over in April 2024 on a permanent basis. There leading scorer is Kayembe, who has 5 goals so far this season.

Nothing great will ever be achieved without great men, and men are great only if they are determined to be so. For glory gives herself only to those who have always dreamed of her.
