Promising Barnsley forward Fabio Jalo has signed a long-term deal at Oakwell.
The Portugal under-19 international joined the Reds academy in 2020 aged 14 and has made 23 first-team appearances.
Subject to EFL and FA approval, the 18-year-old's new deal runs until 2027, with a club option for another year.
Interim director of football Bobby Hassell said: "We were keen to secure (his) long-term future swiftly due to the obvious talent he possesses and the potential we see in him."
Hassell told the Barnsley website: "The progress that Fabio has made is testament to his hard work and the management from the staff at Oakwell to ensure his development is at the forefront of our thinking - an integral part of the long-term strategy implemented when he first joined us as a young boy."
Defender Owen Dodgson, meanwhile, has been recalled from his loan spell at Oakwell by parent club Burnley.
The 20-year-old made 15 appearances, the last in a 2-2 draw at Peterborough United on 29 December.

Barnsley have signed midfielder Conor Grant from League Two club MK Dons on an initial loan with the option of a permanent transfer in the summer.
The 22-year-old Dubliner was the Dons young player of the year last season and scored four goals in 52 games during his time in Milton Keynes.
Grant is familiar with South Yorkshire, having been at Sheffield Wednesday, who he left to join Rochdale in 2019.
He has played 111 senior games in total, scoring nine goals.
Interim director of football Bobby Hassall said: "Conor will add different qualities to our attacking midfield options having played regularly in the EFL for Rochdale and MK Dons.
"The club have monitored Conor closely over the last couple of years and we're excited for him to join the squad for the remainder of the season with an option to extend his stay further."
MK Dons said they received a loan fee for the Republic of Ireland under-21 player, who swaps their League Two promotion bid for one in the league above with the Tykes.
Completion of the deal was only confirmed 14-and-a-half hours after the January transfer window closed on Thursday evening.
Barnsley have completed their first signing of transfer deadline day after agreeing a three-and-a-half year deal for Fleetwood defender Josh Earl.
Earl, 25, began his career with Preston and made his senior debut in August 2017, aged 17.
During his six years at Deepdale he had loan spells at Bolton, Ipswich and Burton before joining Fleetwood in June 2022.
"I'm really happy," Earl told the club website.
"Just walking around the stadium and meeting the lads today has been really enjoyable. I can't wait to get going."
He joins the Tykes' challenge for promotion from League One with the club in fifth place, five points off the automatic promotion spots.

Conor Hourihane has returned to Barnsley on a player-coach deal following his exit from Derby County.
The 33-year-old Republic of Ireland international, twice a Wembley winner with the Tykes in 2016, left to join Aston Villa in January 2017, helping them win promotion back to the top flight.
He then had a half season loan at Swansea before a full season on loan to Sheffield United, where the Blades lost in the Championship play-off semi-finals.
But he then joined Derby in 2022, captaining the Rams to promotion, while also working as an academy coach at Aston Villa - another of his former clubs.
Hourihane will spend an initial two years as a first-team coach alongside new boss Darrell Clarke and last season's interim boss Martin Devaney before "assuming full-time first-team coach responsibilities in two years’ time".
"I will still play a little bit next season for sure," Hourihane had told BBC Radio Derby prior to his return to Oakwell. But it will be a bit of a hybrid role where I can start making the transition on top of playing.
"I have a real hunger and desire to help people and to become a coach and a top coach or manager, whatever it may be. Whether that is a success, who knows? But there will be a big work ethic to try achieve that."

Rams Daily Special - Conor Hourihane speaks following Derby County departure
New Barnsley head coach Clarke said: “Having Conor’s experience around is going to be vitally important. With over 600 games at every level including the Premier League and Ireland, there is nothing he has not seen in the game.
"This will make him a top coach. Someone our young squad can look to for guidance. The fact that he is also still going to be a player I can call upon makes this deal even sweeter."
Barnsley finished sixth in League One, 16 points behind second-placed Derby, before narrowly losing 5-4 over two legs to Bolton Wanderers in the play-off semis
County Cork-born Hourihane had spoken previously about how he is "no longer scared" of retiring as a player after moving into coaching in recent years - and he is delighted to have left Derby on such "a fairy-tale" note.
"I'm delighted with what I've done in my playing career," he said. "Hopefully I can get a little bit of success in the next chapter too.
"You look at teams like Sunderland or Portsmouth and how many years they were down in League One. I didn’t want to leave with the club still in League One.
"I’m getting that little bit older. I probably wasn’t going to play that much heading into the Championship, and I'm absolutely delighted to leave Derby in a place where it is much stronger from where it was when I started."

Barnsley have signed Nigeria midfielder Kelechi Nwakali on a three-year deal.
The 26-year-old arrives at Oakwell for an undisclosed fee from Chaves, a club in Portugal's second tier, where he scored one goal and registered four assists last season.
"I knew this was an exciting opportunity for me, I know I can bring a lot to the team," Nwakali told the club's official website, external.
"I am looking forward to being back in England and making Oakwell my home for the next three years."
Nwakali has made four senior appearances for the Nigerian men's national team and left his country in 2016 to join Premier League side Arsenal.
Following numerous loan spells, the midfielder left the Gunners in 2019, signing for Spanish sides SD Huesca and then Ponferradina before joining Chaves last year.
"There is no doubt Kelechi is a really talented player who can offer [boss] Darrell [Clarke] something different," said Barnsley's sporting director Mladen Sormaz.
The Tykes began their 2024-25 League One campaign with a 2-1 home defeat to Mansfield Town.
