Swindon have signed midfielder Dawson Devoy on a loan deal from MK Dons until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old has made 58 appearances for the League Two side since signing in July 2022, including 14 this season.

He began his career with League of Ireland side Bohemians where he graduated from their academy to their first team in 2019.

Devoy has also been capped seven times by the Republic of Ireland's under-21 side.

Defender Williams Kokolo has also signed a contract extension with the club to the end of this campaign.

The 23-year-old Frenchman, who has played 10 times this season, joined the Robins in November and his deal was due to expire at the end of January.

Swindon Town have signed Liverpool striker Paul Glatzel and Southampton goalkeeper Jack Bycroft on permanent deals.

Liverpool-born Glatzel, 22, joins from his hometown club where he has been with their academy since age nine.

The forward has had two spells with fellow League Two side Tranmere Rovers, scoring six goals in 22 games.

Bycroft, 22, had not made a first-team appearance for the Saints but has regularly featured for their under-21s.

He has had spells on loan at National League sides Aldershot and Oxford City.

Bycroft comes in after Murphy Mahoney - the Robins' first-choice keeper this season - returned to parent club Tranmere due to injury in December.

Swindon Town have signed defenders Pharrell Johnson from Nottingham Forest and Conor McCarthy from Barnsley.

Johnson, 19, whose contract at the Premier League side ran out this summer, has agreed a permanent move having failed to make a first-team appearance for Forest.

He did feature in two EFL Trophy matches earlier this season at Carlisle United and Accrington.

Swindon have not disclosed if they paid a fee or the length of Johnson's deal.

McCarthy joins on loan until the end of the season from League One side the Tykes.

The 25-year-old joined Barnsley in the summer of 2022 from St Mirren and has played 14 games, although has not featured in the league this campaign.

Swindon Town have signed AIK forward Zack Elbouzedi on loan until the end of the season.

The 25-year-old Irishman has scored three goals in 62 appearances for the Swedish side, who begin their league season on April 1.

Elbouzedi's move is subject to approval by the English Football League.

He joins with the Robins 14th in League Two on 37 points, seven points off the play-off places.

Elbouzedi played for West Bromwich Albion's youth teams before moving to Inverness Caledonian Thistle to start his professional career.

Stints at Waterford, Lincoln City and Bolton Wanderers followed before he moved to Sweden's top tier in 2021.

He has three goals in 13 games for Republic of Ireland Under-21.

Swindon have re-signed forward Harry McKirdy on loan from Hibernian and Leyton Orient striker Aaron Drinan and Leeds winger Sean McGurk in permanent deals.

McKirdy was Swindon's top scorer during 2021-22, scoring 23 goals as they reached the League Two play-offs.

The 26-year-old only returned to playing in January having recovered from heart surgery in August.

Drinan, 25, scored 20 goals in 96 games for Orient after joining in 2021.

Earlier this week Swindon were placed under a transfer restriction by the English Football League for accruing late payments.

The club is prohibited from paying or committing to pay any transfer fee, compensation fee or loan fee during the current window.

McKirdy moved to the Scottish Premiership side from the Robins in 2022 and has featured 26 times but has yet to score any goals for the club.

Irishman Drinan joined Ipswich's academy in 2018 and made 22 appearances before switching to the O's and helping them win promotion to League One last season.

McGurk did not make a first-team appearance for Leeds, having joined their academy in 2021 from Wigan's youth set-up.

Last season, the 20-year-old was part of the Leeds Under-21s side that won promotion back to Premier League Division 1, where he has scored four goals this season.

Striker Charlie Austin is among 11 players who have been released by Swindon Town following the conclusion of the 2023-24 season.

Austin, 34, re-joined the Robins in December 2022 having played for the club earlier in his career from 2009 to 2011.

The former Burnley, QPR and Southampton forward scored 14 goals in 48 games in all competitions this season as the club finished 19th in League Two.

Tom Brewitt, George McEachran, Tyrese Shade and Frazer Blake-Tracy are also leaving the club.

The others departing are Tom Clayton, Conor Brann, Brooklyn Genesini, Reece Devine, Rushian Hepburn-Murphy and Tomi Adeloye.

Swindon have offered Sean McGurk and Nnamdi Ofoborh new deals.

Swindon Town have signed midfielder Ollie Clarke from Mansfield Town on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee.

The 31-year-old is the Robins' first addition of the summer and joins after four seasons with the Stags where he made more than 152 appearances.

He scored three goals and created five assists in 39 league games last season as the Stags won promotion to League One, and was also given the captaincy during his time there.

Clarke began his career with Bristol Rovers where he played more than 200 games during an 11-year spell.

Swindon Town's Nnamdi Ofoborh has agreed a new one-year contract with the League Two club.

The 24-year-old former Bournemouth and Wycombe Wanderers midfielder arrived as a free agent in March and featured in all seven remaining games as the Robins finished 19th in League Two.

The club say the Nigeria Under-20 international, who also spent two seasons with Glasgow Rangers without figuring in the first team, will now "stay at the County Ground for the upcoming 2024-25 campaign".

New Swindon boss Mark Kennedy said: "I've watched his games back from last season. He brings not only a physical presence to the team but technical quality too."

"Next season is going to be all about a new book, a new chapter," said Ofoborh. "With new faces joining us at the club alongside the new manager, we can use this to push us in the right direction next season."

Teenage Swindon defender Joel McGregor, 18, who has now made six first-team appearances since making his debut in November, has signed his first professional deal.

Swindon Town winger Sean McGurk has signed a new deal with the League Two club.

The 21-year-old joined the Robins from Leeds United in the January transfer window and scored twice in nine appearances in the second half of the season.

"[I'm] delighted to have signed a new deal with the club and to be honest I've been in constant conversation since the end of last season," he told Swindon's website., external

"I've been in conversation with [head of football] Jamie Russell and the new manager [Mark Kennedy], and they've both shown and described to me how they see my role at Swindon, and moving into next season I want to get more goals and assists and create more of those moments from last season."

McGurk came through the youth system at Wigan Athletic before moving to Leeds in 2021.

Swindon have not specified the length of McGurk's new contract.

Swindon Town have signed Irish defender Tunmise Sobowale on a free transfer from Shrewsbury Town.

The 25-year-old, who plays predominantly as a right wing-back, made 35 appearances in all competitions for Shrewsbury after joining the League One club from Irish side Waterford last summer.

"I'm loving the energy that I get from the club, we should be looking to get promoted and I'm just looking forward to getting out in front of the fans," Sobowale told the Swindon website., external

Sobowale began his career at Waterford, then spent spells at Spanish side Hercules and Finn Harps before returning to his first club in 2020.

He becomes the Robins' second summer signing after Ollie Clarke joined from Mansfield Town on 31 May.
