I don't particularly hold with strikers only being good enough for a particular division unless they only score in a lower division due to taking advantage of defensive errors. I cannot see Nuhui scoring in volume at any level.
Conversely, most of Madine's goals in L1 were good goals, either by him or the team, so he should be able to score at a higher level.
Interesting to see Madine got a goal & an assist while Antonio got two assists in the 4-4 draw between Blackpool & Forest. At S6, not a goal in sight. SG has sold one & banished the other.
Didn't Madine also have 4 goals & 4 assists at Coventry. The rate he is going he will be our leading scorer without even scoring for us (except the Notts Co game in the Cup, nearly forgot about that)
I just wish he had been given a fair chance, like our other strikers have.

Bizarrely, Madine is our joint top league goal scorer with Maguire on five if he scored four at Coventry.
On an unrelated point, since SG has stopped saying "as such" in his interviews, he has started throwing a few other gems in, Could it be enough to start playing SG post match interview bingo.
If you get all these phrases in one interview:
As Such
Hey
Didn't/Couldn't see that one coming
The Be All & End All
End of the Day
Very Much So
The Pleasing Thing Is
You Will Have To Ask Him
Couldn't ask more of the lads
The Game is All About Goals
The "Hey" is a new one in recent weeks, used at the beginning of a sentence for little apparent reason.
There are probably more.

One of Madine's goals at Coventry was a cup goal so he is currently Wednesday's second highest league goals scorer, equal with Nuhui on four goals.
The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.

It is ridiculous that Madine hadn't had a run out, I'm no big fan of Madines, over the years he hasn't shown a great deal for my liking.. One good season in L1, but he HAS shown more than the current strikers at the club, so it makes no sense for him not to get a sniff?
It's bewildering as to what our midfield and strikers do in training.
Perhaps MS or someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but how many of our strikers or any players for that matter, stay later after training practising on their own time?
Wickham stayed late after training EVERY day, and Gray had to stay late with him. Wickham wasn't even our player yet had more discipline & hunger than any of our jokers under contract.
We have far too many players that seem to just be here to get paid, Coke for one has had plenty of time to show something. Corry, McCabe etc. there will never be any success without any hunger or passion, and most of these players bring none of it.
Nuhui's passionate about the club and you can see it, the big problem here is that he's shit. So like JOC in the past, having a heart the size of the sun doesn't count for shit on the pitch when you've nothing to back it up with.
Bring Madine back FFS before Boosh is sat in the foetal position rocking like May currently is!

I suppose it is down to the individual players who may stay behind for extra training. The way the team isn't scoring you would imagine the answer is no to all of them.

We've lost so many goals from last season (Antonio, Wickham, Reda, Llera). We've stopped scoring goals altogether, it's not just the strikers. When did a defender last score (Dielna doesn't count cos he was CM at the time)?
Part of this problem has been poor FK and corners from Maguire. Hopefully now we've got McGugan our players will be able to attack the ball from set pieces and get themselves on the score sheet

Been saying all season our free kicks and corners are shite, can't remember the last time we scored from one.At corners we never cause the defenders any problems, sometime we can't get the ball over the first defender.Do they practice anything, shooting, free kicks, corners, playing on a shit pitch. It's got beyond just a bad patch now with no goals.
Nothing changes,again.

Since McGugan came in we've been causing trouble for opposition. One that sticks is Lees having a header saved on the line in the Cardiff match. It's only been 2 weeks but hopefully our players are getting used to having decent deliveries into the box.
Fingers crossed when Maguire gets back he isn't forced into the team and gets back on FK and corner duty
