Shepherd's Bush Empire (currently known as O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire for sponsorship reasons, and formerly known as the BBC Television Theatre) is a music venue in Shepherd's Bush, West London, run by the Academy Music Group. It was originally built in 1903 as a music hall for impresario Oswald Stoll, designed by theatre architect Frank Matcham; among its early performers was Charlie Chaplin. In 1953 it became the BBC Television Theatre.[1] Since 1994, it has operated as a music venue. It is a Grade II listed building.[2]

Doesn't look as this lot played at the Empire but they did write a song about the kick off time

Why should we care?

Who’s Available?

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Ryan Lowe confirmed Ali McCann, Ben Whiteman and Brad Potts are all unlikely to feature before the end of the campaign.

There is more positive news as far as Liam Millar is concerned, though, with the Canadian back in training and expected to be in contention on Saturday.

Alan Browne and Ryan Ledson, who weren't quite ready to start during the week against Southampton, are in better shape ahead of the trip to Loftus Road and could come in to the side.

Opposition Focus

With three games remaining of the campaign, Queens Park Rangers still have work to do to retain their Sky Bet Championship status.

They sit three points above Huddersfield Town, who currently occupy 22nd, but the R’s head into the weekend winless in three matches, having been beaten by fellow relegation rivals Sheffield Wednesday within that run.

If the Hoops can stay up, it’ll be considered a job well done by Spanish head coach Martí Cifuentes who took over in October with the side sat 23rd.

Match Officials

Referee: Gavin Ward
Assistant Referees: Lee Venamore and Adam Crysell
Fourth Official: Lee Swabey

Gavin Ward, who has shown 100 yellow cards and two reds in 26 matches this season, will referee this fixture.

Ward has taken charge of just one PNE match this campaign – the home victory over Plymouth Argyle – and North End’s last win on the road with him as the main official was the 3-2 win against AFC Bournemouth in December 2020.

MACS View

Looks like we may have a semblence of a midfield against the Hoops which may provide our forwards with service they can work with.
Rangers need the points we don't in the return game at Deepdale also on the box we performed woefully Rangers duly abd deservedly won, will Fantastic have them fired up for this one, luckily it's a 10 am coach just 78 hours after getting off the one from Southampton, can my arse get any larger well let's see.
In the aforementioned Who song, lyric was the seats are seductive, don't think Townsend wrote it about the away end seats at Loftus Road, those who have been will know.

Attendance: 16,464 (730 PNE fans).

Referee: Mr G Ward.

It is possible that we could end the season with five defeats and fail to score in any of thhem, with Leicester and Albion last two on the list. Another afternoon of under achievement at a distinctly chilly Loftus Road, also we enhanced our charity status with gifting the home side their only goal,.
Since Tuesday have done 1000 plus miles, with insult to injury being added to by Mr Fantastic's selection of the Merrseyside Messi(Ben Woodburn). Nothing against the lad but he shouldn't be at the club let alone playing in last night's game. His only mistake in the game was scoring for Liverpool at the age of 16 from there you are only going one way and it ain't up. Playing him instead of Mads FJ should really have seen Lowe on triial at Nuremberg for crimes against football.
The usual motorway madness on Saturday as usual with the coach arrived miles to early, so wandered aimlessly around the place at least I got 10,000 steps.
Sat in the Y6 area great view down the touchline, we actually started the better of theh two sides although Andersen had gone close we looked a danger everytime Millar got the ball, should really have scored after playing a one two with Browne, decent save by Begovic, and that basically was that from us.
Rangers took the lead shortly afterwards, ball into the box routine catch for Woodman, nope he drops it to the feet of Dykes in the six yard box and one down we go.
The rest of the half belonged to the home side could easily have had other goals, Dykes shot wide when well placed and other efforts went narrowly wide, meanwhile Mr Fantastic on the bench waved his arms about probbably directing air traffic into Heathrow.
We past to them on a regular basis, dead balls went into outer space, made the 6am fall out of bed worthwhile.
Second period Woodman's inability to catch the ball nearly lead to another goal Keane cleared off the line, think Rangers also had another cleared from the line. They went close with other efforts, but as the last ten minutes kicked in they got deeper protecting the lead, they needn't had worried Mads FJ and Millar tried to conjure something from the mess in front of them but to no avail. Rangers on tthe verhge of staying up, not quire safe yetbespecially if Wednesday win at the Plastics today.
To top the day off someone honked on the coach on the way back.
Big thank you to Norton Canes service station see you next seasonn.

QPR head coach Martí Cifuentes told BBC Radio London:

"We are very happy to get the three points, we performed at a good level against a good team.

"I'm very glad for all the guys and their performances, I'm happy for Lyndon Dykes, it was an important goal.

"This team never gave up, the last moments were very difficult and we needed to be focused, the team did a great job."

Preston boss Ryan Lowe:

"It wasn't good enough. Nowhere near the levels. I know it's a mistake for the goal, but we've got to do better all-round, with and without the ball. I didn't recognise that team as a Preston North End team.

"Back to the drawing board, two games to go, and I don't want the season to just peter out.

"We felt that today was a game that we could compete in and win. We competed to an extent, but the quality on show from both teams wasn't great. I expect my team to be better."

Well Ryan we expect you to be better
