Queens Park Rangers have signed defender Morgan Fox on a two-year deal following his departure from fellow Championship side Stoke City.
The 29-year-old made 43 appearances for the Potters last season missing only three league matches.
"I will be looking to use my experience to push this squad forward," he told the club website.
"The manager explained his plans for the team and for me personally, and it is an exciting opportunity."
Fox, who came through Ipswich Town's Academy, began his professional career with Charlton Athletic in 2013 where he made more than 100 appearances for the club. In 2017 he joined Sheffield Wednesday where he spent three-and-a-half seasons.
As his career has progressed Fox has moved from left-back and into a more central defensive role.
Manager Gareth Ainsworth added: "I've said from the moment I came in that experience is lacking a little bit in this squad, we have got some fantastic young talent here but it needs some leadership and Morgan definitely brings that.
"He is a warrior and brings much-needed experience.
"Morgan is only 29 and there is no reason why he can't have a really good stint here, and he brings healthy competition to that backline."

Queens Park Rangers have signed former Nottingham Forest midfielder Jack Colback on a two-year deal.
The 33-year-old was a free agent having left the City Ground in the summer and has an option for a third year at QPR.
The experienced midfielder played 11 times in the Premier League last season having been a key part of the Forest side that won promotion in 2022.
He has played more than 400 games in a 15-year career that saw him spend six years at Newcastle United.
He began his career at the Magpies' rivals Sunderland with whom he reached the 2014 League Cup final and had two spells on loan at Ipswich Town.
Colback joined Newcastle in 2014 and helped the Magpies win the Championship in 2017 under Rafael Benitez after relegation the previous season.
"Success in this division takes a lot of work, you have to be ready to do the ugly side of the game," Colback told the QPR website.
"That's the difference between the two levels in terms of the Championship and the Premier League.
"There's a difference in terms of the tactics, too. In this division you will come up against teams who want to play football a lot, and you will come up against teams who will be in your face and more direct, which is something you don't get as much in the Premier League."
He is the fifth player to move to QPR during the summer as the R's aim to improve on their 20th placed finish in the Championship last season.
"He is a great player and he had one or two other suitors but he chose QPR because he wants to buy into what we are trying to do here, which is great," said Rangers boss Gareth Ainsworth.
"He will add energy and experience to us. He has got quality on the ball, but he has tenacity off it and a winning mentality, which will hopefully be contagious."

Queens Park Rangers have announced former Birmingham City coach Xavier Calm as their new assistant to manager Marti Cifuentes.
Fellow Spaniard Calm, 42, worked alongside Cifuentes in the sixth tier of Spanish football.
Calm himself managed UE Cornella, reaching the Segunda Division B play-offs in his two years in charge.
"We have a good balance and work well together," Cifuentes said
Calm, who started with Birmingham at under-23 level before working his way up to first-team coach in 2020, also worked with Cifuentes at Hammarby in Sweden.
"He has the extra plus that, as well as his experience in Spain and Sweden with me, he also knows the Championship," Cifuentes told the QPR website.
"We see football in a very similar way but he likes to look at the detail on the defensive phase while I usually like more to look forward, so in that sense we work well."
Cifuentes was appointed by the Championship club following the sacking of Gareth Ainsworth.
The 41-year-old's first match in charge of second-bottom Rangers ended in a 1-1 draw at Rotherham United.

QPR have signed striker Michael Frey on a permanent transfer from Belgian side Royal Antwerp.
The 29-year-old Swiss has scored 33 goals in 69 games since joining the Belgian top tier side in July 2021.
He spent the second half of last season on loan at FC Schalke 04 and has also had spells at Fenerbahce, Young Boys and FC Zurich.
QPR boss Marti Cifuentes said Frey was a "proven goalscorer across a number of leagues and countries".
"He can be decisive in the final third, he has high energy which fits into how we want to play because he can help us to press high up the pitch, and he is a clever player too," Cifuentes told the club website.
Frey was at Loftus Road on Sunday and was introduced to fans before QPR's Championship match with Huddersfield.
"QPR is a big club with a big history, a beautiful stadium and top fans. To play in the UK for Swiss players is a big thing so I was very happy when I heard for the first time about QPR's interest," Frey said.

QPR have signed midfielders Isaac Hayden from Newcastle and Wolves' Joe Hodge on loan for the remainder of the season.
Hayden has made 171 appearances for the Premier League side since moving to St James' Park in 2016 although has not played for them since 2021.
The 28-year-old spent the first half of this campaign with Belgian side Standard Liege.
Hodge, 21, has made six Premier League appearances for Wolves so far.
The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international started out at Manchester City before moving to Molineux in June 2021 and is the second player to join QPR from Belgium this week, following the arrival of striker Michael Frey from Royal Antwerp.
"I am very happy we have been able to bring in Joe. He is a player who is very comfortable in possession, very good in small spaces, very good in the passing game," R's boss Marti Cifuentes said.
Hayden added: "It is obvious to see the position the club are in at the moment but it is a challenge that I feel I can add some value to, on and off the pitch - be an experienced player and be a leader to try and help the club stay in the league."
QPR are currently third from bottom of the Championship, three points from safety ahead of Saturday's trip to Blackburn.

QPR have signed Denmark midfielder Lucas Andersen on a free transfer.
The 29-year-old - who has previously played for Ajax and Grasshoppers - was a free agent after ending a second spell with Aalborg.
The Denmark international - who has six caps - previously played under Hoops boss Marti Cifuentes at the four-time Danish champions.
Andersen said: "I am so excited. This is another dream come true for me. This is a big opportunity."
He added: "I am really grateful and proud to represent the club and play in a historical stadium. In Denmark, English football is very popular. I am really looking forward to it."
Andersen said it would be "amazing" to play under Cifuentes again, adding: "I know his playing style, and I know he knows my abilities, so it is a good start."
Cifuentes said: "He has played either as a winger or a number 10 and is also very good at set-pieces. He has international experience and will add skills that we are looking for, and I am sure he will prove that he is a quality player."

QPR winger Albert Adomah will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.
The former Ghana international came off the bench in his side's 4-0 thrashing of Leeds to become the Championship's all-time leading appearance-maker with 525 games.
The result secured QPR's Championship status for next season.
Adomah, 36, joined the Hoops in 2020 after being released by Nottingham Forest and has scored six goals in 129 appearances for the club.
"It's been unbelievable, amazing - I get chills when I think about the four seasons I've enjoyed here," he told the club's website., external
"To end it in the way I have done [by breaking the Championship appearance record] is incredible.
"It's a milestone I've been waiting to break and to be given the opportunity to do so by the gaffer [Marti Cifuentes] last Friday, in my final home game and in front of the mighty super Hoops supporters - thank you. Words can't describe it."
Adomah said he had no plans to retire and had always intended to play at least until the age on his shirt number, which is 37.
The winger made more than 100 appearances for each of Barnet, Bristol City, Middlesbrough and Aston Villa.
His final game for the Villans was the 2018-19 Championship final victory against Derby County, which he started before being replaced in the 73rd minute.
He had spells at Forest and Cardiff before moving to London with QPR and won 19 international caps for Ghana.
Adomah's 130th and final appearance for the R's could come away to Coventry City on the final day of the Championship season on Saturday.
