Apparenly Blair was warned there were possible problems with Horizon in 1998,this is going to cost the tax payers billions. Watched the series loads of sympathy with those wronged especially the Indian lass Jess, scary thing is the mount of electric gadgets we use that can be hacked into, phones, smart metres and electric cars.

And you will get zero help from those in power

Neither shocked nor surprised to read that the CEO of Fujitsu is married to a Tory MP.

She's been an MP since 2015 so it's hardly a relevant connection seeing it's been going on for 20 years and the only one to offer them help was a Tory MP

I listened to that podcast in 2020. Why has it taken until there is a dramatisation for there to be an outcry?

Quite simple amelia - the press are only interested in sending back the boats, nasty forriners and their courts, the evils of woke etc. Journalism in the UK is a sick joke.
Only private eye cared about this issue and were on it from the start.

It just strikes me as really weird that the post office didn't see the connection between the roll out of a new computer system and all of a sudden postmasters starting to get sticky fingers ?

The whole thing is coming out in the enquiry. The long term benefits of awarding big fat contracts to private sector "experts". When the current scam ends, they are potential employers of the politicians as non executive directors. See michelle mone and countless other blatant thefts of huge amounts of OUR cash from privatisation and outsourcing over the years.

Re the Post Office scandal, there must be tens (if not hundreds) of fat cats involved over the years who have walked away with huge pay-outs straight into another top job. Witness Vennels' later jobs (more than once).

All of these people should be immediately sacked as they have got their jobs under false pretences, as well as securing bonuses and pensions by way of deliberate lies. I'd call it fraud TBH, but no doubt their mates will cover for them.
