Attendance: 21,816 (5,667 Leeds United fans).
Referee: Mr J Smith.
Daniel was truly farked off at the end, had a lengthy word with the referee at the end of the game, maybe he should have had a word with his keeper, who seemed to have a brain freeze, going head to head with Whiteman and then shoving his hand in Osmajic's face, at least Meslier got first use of the shower folloing his red card. As for the soft penalty they got our Dan, said, zip.
One of those games that got better the long it went on although fairly obvious from early on that Liam Miller would be the best player on the pitch.
Fair play to Mr Fantastic got it spot on, put McCann in a deeper role marked Piroe out of the game and Whiteman on Ampadu, worked a treat.
Little was seen of the Leeds front line their best two chances came from set pieces, Roden should probably have done better. Miller created our chances, one saved well by Meslier and the other a cross which was inches away from Browne's head, both sides dominated periods of the first half, thought up to a point we defended well.
Second period even until the red card, within a couple of minutes we lead, Miller inch perfect cross, Browne heads home. Fair play to Farke made positive substitutions with what he has left on the pitch and they did play well with ten men and you always got the feeling they may get one, although if we are giving penalties for falling over after standing on an opponents foot as James did when he collapsed in the area. Soft it was Struijk sent Woodman the wrong way.
Not to worry it was soon to be Miller time, as the winger picked up the ball in the corner flag area, got into the box before curling the winner past Darlow, ten minutes of injury time a few alarms but points in the bag.
No fist pump at the end, strange no manager ever does that when they lose, could be a turn in fortune for Lowe, similar to Mark Robins saving Fergie at Forest all those years ago.
Still time for Dan to slag off the pitch and our apparentlt gamesmanship, oh well never mind, the return in a month could be tasty
Preston manager Ryan Lowe:
"The lads were excellent, both with and without the ball. They acquitted themselves brilliantly from start to finish.
"Of course, the game changed a bit after the red card but we kept going and we've got a big that win we deserved. We knew that after the red card we'd have to be dogged and resolute.
"We've all been disappointed over recent weeks but the results we've had have definitely not been for the lack of trying.
"I know we might not be blessed with as much quality in our squad as ones like Leeds but every one of my players shows a never-say-die attitude."
Leeds boss Daniel Farke:
"It's disappointing because the second player really has nothing to do with it. He's come in and tried to provoke Illan then he goes and rolls around 10 times.
"Maybe the referee should sense what was really happening there. Maybe a yellow card would have been a fairer outcome.
"Having said that, I can't complain because we've gone and lost to a Preston team who have worked and fought so hard. Millar has been allowed to run 40 yards at us and then he's got himself a dream goal.
"We were a bit lazy in certain moments but sometimes this does happen after we had been praised so much during the week."
