Aye it was a good result as Chorley have been going well this season.

Back to the FA Cup tomorrow, and another tough test when 2nd division Gillingham come to Edgar Street.

2 . 0 loss to the Gills and no complaints as they were the better side especially first half. We huffed and puffed throughout the second half creating the odd half chance prior to them sealing the tie in the last minutes from the penalty spot.

Almost 4,500 at Edgar Street with just under 500 supporting Gillingham. Thumb up

The games come thick and fast with a mixed bag of results. 3 League games and an FA Trophy game have been and gone since the Gills game.

All the Bs in the League with losses by the odd goal to Buxton and Boston and a good win ( 4 . 1) against Banbury. In the Trophy we beat Redbridge of the Isthmian League 4 . 1 at home with a much improved second half performance having been one down at the interval.

All this leaves us mid table with 4 points from the relegation zone but only 5 points from the play offs........................glass half full or half empty ??????

Off to Celtic on Saturday......Farsley that is!, who are just below us in the table so on paper should be a tight game.

Hereford are off to Bishop Stortford today who are bottom of the League so am hoping for three points, but as they say.......it's a funny old game!

Having been through a mixed bag of results in the last few weeks including a 1 . 5 home loss to Scunthorpe Doh we still find ourselves just climbing into a play off spot Thumb up . ( although the teams just behind have games in hand) We also continue in the FA Trophy having beaten South Park 1 . 0 in a tight game last week.

A hard fought 1 . 0 win ay Bishop Stortford. The pitch influenced the game as it was like a "pudding" and very wet in parts leading to uneven bounces etc.

One interesting note was Osman Sow was playing for them........remember him well from when he played for Hearts in the 2015 / 16 region. Remember him scoring some cracking goals for them especially against the 2 Glasgow uglies.

Non-league club Hereford FC are hoping to redevelop the fourth side to the ground at their local council-owned Edgar Street home - as part of a mission to extend their lease.

The National League North club, who were liquidated as Hereford United in 2014, reformed as Hereford in the ninth tier for the 2015-16 season.

But what used to be the away terrace at the Blackfriars End has stayed closed.

Now Herefordshire County Council are talking about how to redevelop it.

Hereford FC chairman Chris Ammonds is also hoping to extend the lease on the ground so that they could then have greater access to government grants.

"The council have come to us and are looking at what they can do with the Blackfriars End in terms of making it look better towards the retail development," he told BBC Hereford & Worcester.

"Hopefully we can tie that in with getting a lease extension.

"The council have been very good to us since Hereford FC was reformed.

"But we are down to the last seven years of the lease. Not a cause for any concerns but we want to get a more significant extension.

"Once you have a lease beyond 20 to 25 years, you get options of ground funding which is going to be important if we are to progress to the next level.

"From two meetings we had with the council in December, they were very forthcoming in terms of their willingness to agree that lease. It wasn't like we were arm wrestling them into making these promises.

"They were very keen to tie the two things together and to get Hereford FC settled here for the long term.

"It's the council's project but we're really pleased they came to us and wanted us on board.

"They want to move quickly on this. There could be a lot of conversations over the next two months. It might be demolished over the summer, as soon as the season finishes."

Hereford are seventh in the table and in the play-off places under boss Paul Caddis.

Will be good if we can tie up the lease and get the Blackfriars open..................better for away fans to be housed in the right half of it with Hereford in the left side as it used to be. At the moment the away support are a little isolated in the upper left of the Len Weston Stand which is not the best for them.

With regards to the team they are blowing hot and cold at present and although they are clinging on to a play off spot in seventh they have played 2 to 3 games more than some in the chasing pack. A 2 . 0 loss to Darlington at the weekend didn't help.  Doh

At home tonight to South Shields who are one of the teams chasing with a game in hand............need a win.  Thumb up

ps: a 0 . 3 loss at home to South Shields so not looking likely we will get a play off spot this season. Doh

Another month gone and Hereford are still clinging to the possibility of getting a play off spot. They are 2 points adrift after a narrow 1 . 0 defeat to Curzon yesterday who leapfrogged us into a play off spot. Unfortunately it was one of those games where we played well but lost ...... that's football!

Away to Peterborough Sports on Tuesday who have already proved a thorn in our side this season Doh

Form is a little erratic so not sure we will make it. Huh

Surprising scoreline from Peterborough last night as Hereford come away with a 4 . 1 win. Surprising as Sports hadn't conceded a goal in over 300 minutes prior to last nights game. A couple of fine goals from Babos including a stunning free kick, as the pick of the four. This result takes us up to sixth and back in a play off spot with 2 home games to come on Saturday and Tuesday against Chorley and Alfreton who are also in the play off positions. This will probably define our season.
