2014-15 Second Half & January Transfer Window
Paul Lambert

First British player to win Champions League with Dortmund.

Took Wycombe Wanderers to League Cup Semi Final

Took over Norwich when bottom of L1 & got them promoted first season

Immediately got a second promotion, taking Norwich to PL

Kept Norwich in PL

Sound like just what we need.

With a record like that, would he even come to Wednesday?

I suppose the new ownership and bigger budgets might be attractive enough to lure someone decent to S6

I don't think he will do anything until the end of the season and see which jobs are available. Any prem team looking for a manger would likely be a better option for him but hopefully he is ready for anew challenge to get a team back to the top table rather than the battle for survival that he has just been through!!

Depends on whether he wants to get a job straight away or whether he wants a break & get back in the saddle in the summer. There tend to be few PL jobs available in the summer so that puts us in a good position, particularly if we approach him now.

It would be great if we could get him now, but I think he will wait. Any prem team with a vacancy is likely to offer him more money and a bigger transfer kitty! As I said for me its about the challenge, if he really wants one then we are it!!

SG: There are a lot of points and pride left to play for this season
SG: Loovens is touch and go for Saturday, he has picked up an ankle injury in training
SG: Bus has looked a lot sharper in training, he understands what we are asking for him and maybe he will play a part on Saturday
SG: The new owners want to drive this club forward, I want to drive this club forward and we need to get results
SG: Two points from five games isn't acceptable, we're playing against Brighton who are near the bottom but we have to turn up
SG: No player has a right to keep their starting shirt, particularly after a disappointing performance
SG: We have to put that game to bed and move on to Brighton
SG: The challenge is for my players to respond after Tuesday's result

I think every time SG opens his mouth, out comes more reasons to sack him.

Any sign of a winger on loan ?? When does this window close ??

Also did we send Baker back or did Chelski recall him ??
If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, you need a team....

Is the loan window even open yet?? Just checked, it opened on Monday 9th, not sure how long it is open for though!!

Pei, just about every manager is full of cliches these days!! Very few will ever saying anything of real meaning in their interviews, for a starters they are contractually obliged to do them and they will give as little up as possible!! For me the blame for a lot of this lies with the reporters who ask inane questions and never really ask the tough questions anymore!!

According to the SWFC website he was recalled by Chelsea,no mention of whose decision it was though. I suppose we will find out more in the loan window because if he goes out on loan to someone else then either we no longer wanted him or they were not happy with what we were using him for.
