2014-15 Second Half & January Transfer Window
For the rest of the season, didn't Gray say he would have a chance or be in his thoughts a few weeks ago???

Might as well have terminated his contract when he left jail, as it is clear he doesn't want him at the club.

Could be interesting this, it may be with a view to sign him. I'm not averse to this as Madine & Nuhui probably need to go. I do think Madine should've been given a few games between now and the end of the season to see if he improved.

I'd much rather have seen Madine stay and be given a chance than Noopoo. He's the one (Noopoo) who should have been loaned. Another of SG's errors Doh

Completely agree, we should have been playing Madine to find out whether he can make it or not, especially now that the playoffs are just about dead!!

We could do a lot worse that move in for Paul Lambert.

SG has been talking to the press ahead of the Brighton game:

SG: There are a lot of points and pride left to play for this season
SG: Loovens is touch and go for Saturday, he has picked up an ankle injury in training
SG: Bus has looked a lot sharper in training, he understands what we are asking for him and maybe he will play a part on Saturday
SG: The new owners want to drive this club forward, I want to drive this club forward and we need to get results
SG: Two points from five games isn't acceptable, we're playing against Brighton who are near the bottom but we have to turn up
SG: No player has a right to keep their starting shirt, particularly after a disappointing performance
SG: We have to put that game to bed and move on to Brighton
SG: The challenge is for my players to respond after Tuesday's result

Wouldn't mind Lambert, but I get the feeling whatever happens SG will keep his job till the end of the season.

Change my mind all the time imre.

Like I used to think imre was a nice bloke. even though he was daft and potty

Then I changed my mind again when he got hooked up with that degenerate youngster thurnscoe.

Now I think he's like a wet turd. Slippery and smelly, full of S-H-T-I.

SG should keep his job until the end of the campaign, at which point he either steps down to a coaching role, or if he prefers, he can manage an L1 or L2 club.

Once ratified I expect the owners have a much more ambitious plan to set in motion. SG simply cannot be manager if this club is to move forward next season however, sacking him now means we need to either hire a manager ( who is available now? and who would be available come the end of the season?) or have another 'temporary' manager' to take SG's place until such time a suitable replacement is found.

We have to like it or lump it for the rest of the season, it makes no business sense to throw SG out of the door at this time.

I suspect that SG will be gone if we don't win any of the next three (two against bottom four sides) matches. That could put us in the bottom six and probably 4 or 5 points above the relegation zone.

Paul Lambert is available & is the ideal candidate. It means that he can assess our current players in actual matches before going into the transfer market in the summer.

Well, if an ideal candidate is available then it makes sense to act.

I don't know too much about Lambert to be honest, so I'll take your word for it MS. Some of you have mentioned he is a younger manager that tries different things. That already sounds like an improvement on SG Big Grin
