Many other times that we have needed a manager I would have welcomed Darren Moore, but this is not the same.

I'd take him as a 2nd in command .... the question is to who (or whom)?

Thought he drew a bit of a short straw at The Baggies to be honest.

SCO and others will have a better opinion of his time down the road in S6, but just as it looked like he'd have them walking into the Chumpionship via the front door, it turned into a mad scramble to get in via the back door.

Pretty easy to change his name and any associated stats when we find out it's either Hu Mi Sun from the Far East or Himer Wayne Kerr from North America instead of Darryl Moore I would think Snoots? Whistle

Darren Moore is a great guy and certainly did well to get the club and fans pulling in the right direction. But there were plenty of fans calling for his head during last season as well. We called his style of play Darrenball, its not exciting, its functional and allows you to win games 1-0 but it has no plan B if plan A isn't working and on too many occasions we saw teams suss us out a bit and we struggled. We got away with this in League 1 as we have better players than most teams but now we are seeing the fruits of that style in this seasons team (along with a manager who likes round pegs and square holes) and we are really struggling.

Reality is we picked up 96 points and got promoted but its was to a degree despite DM. Really like the guy though and wish him well but I do think our squad this season would have been at best marginally better with him in charge and that would only have been because of continuity, which went out the window when him and our crazy owner couldn't agree terms on a new contract.

The Mr. Moore rumour seems to have gathered a lot of comments on DATM.

Could be worse - Ronnie Moore?

Tonight's Line-up's.

No Ward or Hoggy tonight. In his final game in charge of the side, Warnock has handed a first league start of the season to Japan international Yuta Nakayama. It’s the final landmark of the 26-year-old’s return from serious injury, as it’s his first Championship start since rupturing his Achilles in the home game against Sunderland in November 2022. Warnock’s second change hands a first home start of the season to David Kasumu.

Starting for the Stokies.

Sead Hakšabanović will make his first Stoke City start at Huddersfield Town this evening, with the Montenegro international one of three changes named from Saturday's Championship clash at Norwich City.
Luke McNally, who turns 24 today, also returns to the starting XI while Daniel Johnson makes his first start since City's 1-0 reverse at Millwall last month.

SCO, anyone who doesn't pull him up for it is an enabler. As we know, people who stand by and watch are just as bad. And it's not just one. But, whatever.
