2017/2018 St Charles
2016/2017 Lord Snoots
2015/2016 Spireitematt
2014/2015 Amelia

Rules:
1. Anybody can enter
2. I will update the table after each matchday

That's it those are the rules.

Scoring:

5pts = Correct score line
3pt = Correct outcome

Bonus Scoring

Joker: Laugh

The Joker is optional you can play it if you want but don't have to. If you play it and get it right then you'll double your score. You can only play it ONCE. So if you predict 2-0 but the outcome is 3-2 you'll double your outcome points. If you predict 2-0 and the outcome and correct scoreline is 2-0 then you'll double both your outcome points and correct scoreline points.

Example: Chesterfield 3-0 Real Madrid Laugh
Correct Outcome: Chesterfield 2-1 Real Madrid = 6pts

Example: Chesterfield 3-0 Real Madrid Laugh
Correct score/outcome Chesterfield 3-0 Real Madrid = 16pts

If you play the Joker and get it wrong you'll get -3 points.

The scoring makes no difference to me Matt.
I think it's a lot harder to finish bottom.

Sorry I`ve not replied earlier, Matt; been away for a while.

I`ll certainly be back again this season. I did say a while ago that I wasn`t overly ken on the scoring system last season, but what the hell; what`s that got to do with the price of fish? Your game your rules, Matt. Score it which ever way makes it easiest for you.

I had thought it might be possible to come up with a scoring system that reflects how commonly scores appear, so that 2-1, 1-0 and 1-1 predictions would get you 3 pts, 2-0 0-1 and 0-0 would worth 4, 1-2 is then worth 5, 3-1,3-0, 0-2 and 2-2 get 6 pts. I could go on all the way to 3-3 and 4-2 which happen 1% of the time and would get you 9 points and anything above that like 5-0 becomes 10 points.

That might make us gamble more, but it would be more complicated and difficult for Matt.

My only slight quibble at the moment would be that I'm sure a correct score is more than twice as hard to get as a correct outcome, but generally in games and life simplicity is best. (As the hand ball rules have proved.)

I've updated the scoring. I've brought the Joker Laugh back. I've increased the points for correct scoreline/outcome too.

Scoring:

5pts = Correct score line
3pt = Correct outcome

So just to confirm, you now get 3 for the correct outcome (home win, away win or draw) and an additional 5 points if you also get the score correct? So 8 points in total for a correct score? If so I like that scoring.

And that`s what you call making it easier for yourself?????

That`s how I read it, St Charles.
