HTAFC Pre season friendlies 2023

They've double ordered the pies? Loads of beer left over from the end of last season to sup?

Realistically both sides can get an hour of footy into all their squad rather than around 45 mins?

I was considering going to Stockport on Saturday until i realised the trains are on strike and that the last train leaves at 18:31 and doesn't get me back to Huddersfield until 09:44 on Sunday morning.

I'll save my cash and possibly spend it watching Town v Boro in the cup instead

Stockport County v Huddersfield Town
Saturday July 22nd - 15:00 ko
at Edgeley Park

It's only a pre season friendly, but the Town return to Edgeley Park for the first time since we hammered them 6-0 in 2010. They were in freefall at the time and I was sad to see them drop as far as they did. They didn't drop completely out, like poor old Bury, but it was a fall to the Conference North, which they departed from as champions in 2019. And it's been all uphill since, winning the now called National League to end eleven years out of the FL and then getting to the Play Off Final this year, losing on penalties to Carlisle.

If you don't fancy a wet Saturday in Stockport, you can watch the match live from the comfort of your own home, car, workplace, pub, back garden, bed, as the match is live on the You Tube.

3-0

Rudoni scores after being sent through by Kasumu.

Ten changes on the hour. Only Sorba staying on.

4-0

Great work from Diarra, sets Hudlin free to score.

Smashing performance from all the lads today. Particularly impressed with Thomas, who played the full 90. And what about Hudlin? Not just an Emley Moor Mast lookalike. He can score as well. Big Grin
