LAST MATCH

We finish the regular season with a 4th consecutive win, knocking Derby out of the playoffs at the same time. It was a fairly quiet first half with McGoldrick trying to win the game for Derby on his own, Dawson making a couple of saves. Just before HT we took the lead when Davis fouled Johnson, it was soft and Davis was the shown a red card. Smith stepped up and fired past Wildsmith.
Onto the second half and we started brightly, Vaulks hitting the bar and the rebound then blocked, Bannan fired wide from distance, then Pato did his best Nuhiu impression heading wide from inside the 6 yard box. Derby had a couple of chances, McGoldrick long range effort saved by Dawson and Bird had a chance cleared off the line.

THE MATCH

Onto the playoffs and the 1st leg and a trip to Peterborough. The Posh made the playoffs after our win over Derby and after they beat Barnsley 0-2 at Oakwell. There main threat is Clarke-Harris who managed 26 goals and 5 assists and we will need to keep an eagle eye on him. They are managed by Darren Ferguson, who has managed them on 4 different occasions and usually gets them promoted but then gets relegated. They beat us earlier in the season, although we did play for 60 mins with only 10 men. Hopefully DM will set out to win the and not play for a draw like we tried against Sunderland last season, though I think he will go for the latter again Doh  Doh

I do t know why I'm saying this as nobody would do the same for me especially him !! ...but pieowl should be on 17pts in the BMl 1pt gained from the Derby thread .

SCO should also only be on 25 not 26 according to the Derby thread Wink

So who do we think will be in the starting 11?

Dawson - Obviously
Iorfa, Flint, Ihekwe as the CHs
Johnson and Palmer at WB
Bannan and Vaulkes in midfield
Smith up front......

Who else gets into the midfield? Will it be Dele-Bshiru, who hasn't shown enough for me or will Adeniran come back in? What about Paterson?

Who plays up front, Smith for sure but will Windass partner him or Gregory? Or will both play with Windass either out wide or behind the front two?

Moore has some decisions to me!!

I'd like 4 across the back itheckwie and flint in the middle palmer and James either side
Pato on the rightside of midfield feeding smith and Windass up top vaulks and Bannan unmovable!!!

There is more chance of the Loch Ness monster & Bigfoot being discovered than DM playing a back four

More to the point we have played a back 3 with 2 wingbacks all season and amassed 96 points!! Why on earth would any manager change that, especially with our players being League One standard?? Even PL managers wouldn't do that with the quality players they have.
