Yes, it was inteeresting to see Pete after the game give the reasons and good to see he took the blame for the call to throw rather than run the ball!! Still, at least it saved us all from having to listen to Lynch talk crap, or say nothing at all, after the game!!!

Good game, but why pass at 2nd & Goal from the one with Lynch in the backfield, very odd call. Credit to Brady though he had a very good game apart from that 1st interception.
Nothing great will ever be achieved without great men, and men are great only if they are determined to be so. For glory gives herself only to those who have always dreamed of her.

I had a fiver on the Patriots because I knew Tom Brady was the biggest name in hand-egg.
Saw the last 5 minutes (more like 30 minutes in real time Doh) so saw the last touch down and the interception. Still wouldn't be able to get into it though, too stop-start for me. Sleeping
The fight was interesting at the end though.

6Nations starts this weekend Thumb up (well, wednesday game comes first) Now thats something I can watch

Harry Redknapp has resigned as manager of QPR!! Says he won't be able to do his job with upcoming knee surgery, that is as lame an excuse as I have seen!! Other managers seem to find ways to do their job in all sorts of circumstances, look at what Klas Ingersson went through!! For me he is jumping ship now as they didn't improve in the transfer window and he doesn't want a relegation on his CV!!! But then I can't stand him and am cynical about everything he does!!

Thurnscoe wants to know if we folk in PEI can get bacon, pork pies, sausage rolls, pasties.

Bacon: mostly streaky but much better than what you can get in the states. At the farmers' market on Saturdays I can get what they call "Scottish bacon," which is just like regular bacon in Britain (a bit of back with some streaky in each rasher).

Pork pies: No. Used to when M & S had stores in Canada but they pulled out years ago.

Sausage rolls: No. There are frozen mass produced ones but they are nowhere near proper sausage rolls.

Pasties. No. My wife makes those from scratch though.

Every time I've visited over the years I've seen a decline in traditional British cuisine. The place is filled with McDonald's, KFC, pizza joints, curry places galore, and disappointing fish & chippies. Traditional butchers stores hard to find. I had trouble finding pork pies and had to buy one at M & S. Custard tarts, Bakewell tarts now replaced by cheescake and brownies in pastry shops. So, alas, I'm afraid the place is well on the way to becoming Americanized. The best British food I savored was up in Scotland where I had some first rate fish & chips in Aberdeen and was able to find home made pork pis and sausage rolls in a butcher's shop in Carnoustie.

They didn't go back to it by the looks of things. The interviewer (david Garrido) is a big wednesday fan and I think he put an apology on his twatter

Clarke Carlisle has done an interview saying that his recent accident with a lorry was him trying to commit suicide as he'd been suffering with depression since he quit playing in 2012.

Now, depression is a serious illness (I'm not disputing that, I have family members who have suffered) but to put the lorry driver through that, not knowing whether he was at fault/negligent, is pretty disgusting. There are plenty of ways to commit without dragging someone else into your schemes. You could argue that it was spur of the moment but it wasn't, he planned it as he thought it was his only chance to make people happy.

Don't disagree with that Thurny, as you say there are plenty of ways to commit suicide that involve no one else in the actual act, but if someone is at the point of even considering suicide, I am sure their thoughts are not working the same way as you and I think and I doubt they are thinking about any of the consequences of their actions.

Hopefully, now that it didn't work he can get the treatment and support he obviously needs so that he can begin to realise the life ahead of him is precious!!

I saw this earlier and my immediate thought was 'what a selfish twat'. It hasn't changed since. He could have caused a right pile-up Angry and, given the time of day on a busy arterial road, taken out a few mums (or dads) with kids on the school run Angry Prick Angry

or any other innocent for that matter Angry

He needs charging with reckless driving, on top of the outstanding drink/drive charge, and f ucking locking up for a year or two Angry and then he'd get the very best councilors etc for his 'depression' free of charge.
