It is so disingenuous! Really "taking the piss" and full of shameless political manipulation - a con, just like Brexit!

It's all one big publicity stunt. The Tories don't have any policies, they're all bullish soundbites based on delusional statistics.

What about the 80% of bids that failed, costing hundreds of thousands of pounds? That cash would have been better spent elsewhere.

Pretty obvious when they keep asking Labour to clue them in on wage settlement deals, along with just about everything else they've done that's positive in the last 12 months, like windfall taxes and help with energy bills as examples.

How quickly do knobs like these forget about the £350m/day they were going to use to fund the NHS?

Just don't pay the right amount of tax for years, do a deal with HMRC and pay a settlement plus a penalty.

Doesnae matter a xxxx if you used to be chancellor of the exchequer either.

It was only for a few days but once they realised he couldn't count the nails on his fingers he was turfed. No surprise that another grifter, disguised as a Tory MP, doesn't pay the tax he's supposed to. Wonder if he's submitted any more claims for the heating bills for his stables as expenses recently?

Sunak finally conceding to intense pressure from his own side (plus Labour and SNP criticism) and a formal parliamentary investigation initiated. Lets face it, he couldn't preach last week re proper accountability and transparency etc etc and be expected to ignore Zahawi's tax indiscretions.

Looks like there was an HMRC investigation... then a settlement and a penalty. What more is there to xxxx investigate from his "independent" ethics geezer ??

Kicking it into the long grass as per.

The actual Zahawi story is jaw-dropping. Sold off his YouGov business setup through an offshore account in Malta and picked up about £23M without any tax declaration. Talk about sheer greed and "taking all the money"!!!! Some investigative journos and others bullied to #### off (or be sued for millions by his assigned lawyers) by Zahawi (this guy is actually another of the Tory horrible people that we keep coming across and, surprise, surprise - supported Brexit). People that rob banks to steal a lot less money than this are jailed for a very, very long time. Why not likewise with ##### like this one????? And what happened to the punitive days gone by when the likes of a CE named Ernest Saunders (United Distillers) tried to fraudulently hoard away similar amounts of money before liquidation? He was subsequently jailed although bogusly pleading that he was suffering from dementia!
