Three girls / models prance towards us across an unfeasibly flowery meadow. Their smiles have been painted on with large amounts of recreational drugs.

They carry perfume and can only repeat the words, "daisy, daisy, daisy." One of them is token black.

Where is the psychotic serial killer when you need him?

Exactly how stupid does fashioner designer Marc Jacobs think women are?

Perfume adverts are getting more and more surreal. It's strange why they even bother to do telly ads. All you need to know about a perfume is how does it smell, which is impossible to do on telly. So I suppose they just have to make it look like something which will appeal to the daft and vulnerable. Rolleyes

The adverts are designed to appeal to men - the suckers who will pay inflated prices to prove their love for their womenfolk. The Christmas perfume market is a prime example, as will be the Valentine bonanza soon to hit our screens.

Ritchie ......... you think men will buy Daisy for women? They may be attracted to little-girl innocence, but surely they'd have to be pretty thick not to realise any woman would be insulted by the image of this perfume? But then I'm gay what would I know about how stupid straight men are ....... they often seem to relish little-girly singing voices, but get quite insulted when I describe it as nature's daddy paedophilia.

Themaclad ....... Johnny gets his blitzing guitar power from the people filming him blitzing his guitar. They are also the ones who have convinced the wolves that Cheekbone-Johnny is the leader of their pack.

I dunno like, there is one where you can just marvel at the sheer beauty of Natalie Portman. Worse ways to spend a couple of mins.

That's said with my stupid, straight man hat on of course. Apologies etc.

Well, I'm a white, hetero-sexual, able-bodied man - seemingly one of the low-life scum majority who don't matter anymore. And I'm so offended - it's apparently fashionable.

I've met many straight men who are stupid, much the same as the stupid gay men I've come across. But I've managed to cope with it all.

There's nothing wrong with a straight man staring cow-eyed at Natalie Portman, but it might be wise to remember the four hours she just spent with the make-up artist.

The trouble with both straight and gay men is testosterone. It's too easy to get hold of. I hope that's conjured up an image that's put you off your tea.

Why would i care about how long she spent with a make up artist ? What an odd thing to say, she's starring in a perfume ad not nipping down to Tesco for some pot noodles.

Whatever happened to Smellovision? Can anyone remember it? It's what we need for perfume ads. Not Natalie or Charlize or Zoe. Angel Whistle
