They've now also decided not to pay the fans they originally agreed to pay to turn up - so that's the England/Sheffield Wendies band now short of a few grains of sand too.

Hell, there must be a run on the QAR against the Shekel or something going on. This has all happened since some Mike Hunt over here announced yet another budget. Surely they can't be linked - can they?

Oh - apparently Mike is a Jeremy ... can we let Pearl Jam decide on that one?

Gianni Infantino is apparently having a few issues with being what he thinks he is ....

.... well, maybe being president of FIFA shouldn't be one of them then, eh?

PS - what could possibly go wrong with this?

Wowwww! The controversy that has plagued this World Cup tourney isn't going away and I wonder if Infantino already regrets coming out with these defensive comments rather than ignoring the rightful criticisms and just focusing on the footie. He has apparently been residing in Qatar for the past 14 months and is not based in Switzerland where FIFA HQ is established. Hence the defence of Qatar's position as the host of the 2022 tourney??

Well at least they managed to do the knee, which has upset some Tory MPs, which is always a good thing.

What next eh!!? I personally can't understand why there is not as much, if not more, focus on women's rights in this part of the world as there is with LGBTQ issues and the human rights of migrant workers. Some of the invited "experts"/FIFA critics on the likes of the BBC tend to throw in women's rights as an after-thought. It's a huge issue and has been for a very long time. FIFA have proved again what a bunch of charlatans they are and have been historically for decades. One can reflect back to ex-FIFA Presidents like Joao Havelange who favoured apartheid; before him, Stanley Rous wasn't much better with his tendency towards racist behaviour. These individuals were inherently corrupt and nobody would be surprised that the next FIFA President, Sepp Blatter, would be similarly tarnished again.
