Nicola Sturgeon finally begins the process of separation!

This is a nice little preamble before next week's adjudication by the UK Supreme Court. It is certainly damning re the past assurances of the Brii govt and some of the stuff that the Labour Party has uttered re the constitutional question in Scotland.

Yep! I listened to this revelation tonight re Truss and her total lack of respect and manners - an accepted normal protocol violated by an idiot! I mean a month in as PM and she cannae find any common sense or courage to contact the First Minister!!!?? No excuse for such crass behaviour like this and I notice even a number of Tories expressing great surprise that she is doing this. I must add I'm not surprised at all. During the hustings events she portrayed an image of being a punter rather than a reputable politician with some of the crass comments she uttered when it came to Scotland's constitution, our FM Nicola Sturgeon, and the SNP. She definitely came over as another Tory politician who can't get her head around the fact the SNP and the Scotindy movement are huge in Scotland. The SNP have been in power up here for over 15 years FFS!!! The way Truss has behaved is unbelievable in that respect - the SNP didn't just arrive on the scene a few months ago!!! Her crass attitude just sums up what she is and what she represents with all these other horrible Tory-Brexit charlatans around her. Their shit politics will never align with a hugely different political perspective in Scotland - engendered in vast swathes of the Scottish people who deplore the Tories and their divisive political ideology.

Nice to see Nicola stating that she despises the Tories causing such a furore with the media. Here was me thinking the cheese queen had said just to ignore her anyway.

The double standards with these tory clowns is really galling.

Hypocrisy is nothing new when it comes to Tories and getting all uppity re stuff that is nothing near as extreme compared to their moronic behaviour. You must watch the FM's interview with Kuennsberg on Sunday - absolutely outrageous behaviour by this woman btw. She must have rudely interrupted Nicola about 30 times during roughly a 15 min interview!! Thumb down The FM in fine form anyway, but Kuennsberg epitomised the bbc's well-established anti-democratic bias against Scots' democratic right to self-determination. While the FM was articulate and responding credibly, Kuennsberg talking over her - an absolute outrage and rude with it!! And attempting to steer the discussion towards the Unionist stance, rather than "playing devil's advocate", she was despicably biased!! I feel more reassured than ever that we are heading towards independence for Scotland. Also should the UK Supreme Court rule against the Scot govt, the immediate recourse is to take the case to the international courts when Westminster's democratic deficit will be played on the international stage and the Brit govt's subsequent humiliation will
be deserved.

At long last - a prospectus that covers the economic case for Scotindy and will generate debate. There's a contentious issue right away re the FM's view on sharing Brit debt in the way that she describes it. The contrary view is that we have paid more than enough in subsidising British debt for decades n decades and that's a fact - stop being so concessionary re this issue. Another great positive is the recent OP from a well-being viewpoint - 61% of Scots backed Scotindy and no surprise there either, the trick is to campaign and present a strong case to back it up.

I finally got round to listening to Sir Keir Starmer's "car crash" interview with Martin Geissler on the BBC Sunday Show and all that this undemocratic clown managed to do was confirm that if you vote Labour, you get the same failed Tory policies. Re the constitutional issue, he "slammed the door" on a referendum even if the UK Supreme Court endorsed the right of the Scot govt to hold it (although the claim of right is a stronger argument that overrides such a premise anyway!!). Starmer shamelessly body-swerving the whole issue and being a prat in the process, a prat who is clearly "out of touch" with what is happening in Scotland politically. Geissler assertively "took him to task" by challenging him on his insistence that he protects democracy across the UK, BUT DENYING IT IN SCOTLAND????? WHY???? It's because we are regarded as second-class citizens by Starmer and others like him who are embracing a RW philosophy and shamelessly endorsing Brexit with no solutions to overcome all the problems - Geissler reminding him that well over 70% of the electorate in Scotland are now opposed to Brexit (and about 78% want to see a return to the EU asap!) and neither the Tories or the Labour Party are being honest with voters about the sustained damage Brexit will continue to do. He also thinks we are in a voluntary union??? Utter bullshit when one listens to the dismissive nature of his response to the sovereign rights of the Scottish people. He has literally wiped out any chance of a smidgeon of Scot Labour electoral success up here - totally f###### clueless (together with the useless Anas Sarwar) and unaware of why they have failed in Scotland for over 15 years as they persist to poo-poo the constitutional issue!! IMO every Scottish household should be provided with a rerun broadcast of this interview and how the Labour Party hierarchy view Scotland and the Scot electorate. It's the fact they don't even disguise their blatant disregard of our democratic rights to self-determination.

"DUP Ian Paisley Jr’s referendum bill hearing for Jan 20th means united Ireland or Scottish independence votes require a super-majority, pretty much locking both into the union forever - a repeat of Labour’s 79 devolution trick that preempts Supreme Court ruling."

Bastard of a man.

I just knew this was coming one way or another.

It should have been done for the EU referendum too, but nobody thought the downtrodden English would have used it to beat up Cameron for his appauling austerity measures did they? Let alone suck up the lies.

We can only "wait n see" how this latest political sham turns out and then decide what direction to take after it if it is actually voted in - IT WILL CAUSE A POLITICAL STORM IF VOTED IN BTW!! There are significant numbers within the independence movement in Scotland who will not take it "lying down" either and I'd expect certain factions within the SNP and other political Scotindy groups who will not put up with that; and god knows what the response would be on the island of Ireland btw!!
