Note they are already hinting at "hammering" the usual target - public spending!! Been doing it for decades in times when they are trying to claw back money, but it seriously affects communities at grassroots level. So much for all their bogus "levelling up" shit btw. Re these ludicrous tax cuts, a simple analogy is the one where say the prefects take over a sweetie shop in their school and lower the prices in a "free for all" venture. Then the "cash n carry" manager where the goods are being bought starts asking questions and making demands as the money taken in doesn't add up any more!! It's fantasy/RW ideological economic policy that disnae work!!

The Tory Conference - a "carnival of shame" says The Guardian newspaper!! I must say the timing of this conference is so badly ill-judged that they should've postponed it. It is not a Conservative Brit govt anyway!! In name only I may add - it is a UKIP govt in disguise, no doubt!! Already there is talk of ousting Liz Truss, replacing her with someone more competent who might save them from electoral doom. Yet the troops meeting for their conference in Birmingham need to confront a far more fundamental question: what on earth is the point of the modern Conservative Party esp when the current govt has been replaced by UKIP and preaching UKIP-Brexit policies?

Did you hear that sound ? The sound of a screeching U- Turn ?

Why would you change your budget plans like that 24 hrs after doubling down if what we are witnessing is purely down to the international markets and the big bad EU ?

These clowns are giving me the fear big time. KamiKwazi is clearly just a plaything for hedge fund managers and was thrown under the bus by the cheese queen yesterday. And now Kwasi is blaming Phelps, and Phelps is blaming Griffiths and Griffiths is blaming the IEA..... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

So what happened to not caring if it was popular or not ? It was a policy she believed in remember ? Hard decisions ? The government had to act quickly....But no one asks why they had to.

I xxxx loathe and despise these bastards with all my heart. It's all just a game to them and their mates, the rest of us are mere bagatelle.

Yep!! I totally concur with those sentiments and the fact these people are political criminals with no moral compass attached to them.

Add to that Kwarteng now being targeted for a possible investigation after exposure of his collusion with hedge fund managers and vulture capitalists. This is so f###### corrupt and unlawful and yet they are getting away with it, been doing it for such a long time; now we are moving into phase 2 of the failed Brexit project, the one that nobody wants to challenge any more, even the Labour Party. Yet it is a fundamental part of the economic mess that is happening now and will continue well into the future. That impending economic "mess" is hugely concerning esp the way that a huge chunk of the population have literally been "sleepwalking" through this failure for such a long time.

She'll be "oot the door" by the turn of the year!! Out of her depth and a mere "puppet" of the RW bastards who have been haunting this country ever since they usurped their own govt and political party simultaneously and using Johnson as their "front man".

You gotta laugh at this pish about the other parties being an "anti growth coalition". When Brexit has wiped billions of the economy.

What kind of "growth" is it they are after anyway ? Be specific... It just sounds like a smokescreen to cover the fact that they are going to carry on with their britannia unhinged garbage for as long as they can.

Coming from a woman that's been in an anti-growth Cabinet position since Cameron's days, it's wonderful how these folk wake up one morning and decide they'll rewrite history for themselves. What the feck has she been voting for for all these years?

There's also now evidence that Cameron/Osborne's austerity government was responsible for 300,000 early deaths. Throw in the 200,000 that Bodgit killed (and counting) from Covid that's 500,000 early deaths this Government has been responsible for so far and they've got another two winters to try and double that. If this government was some African or Middle/Far Eastern junta they disagreed with, the Tory rags would be screaming genocide. Yet somehow these murderers are still roaming our streets with impunity.

The only way to promote economic growth is to give more money to the poorest section of society, who will spend it in their local economies, benefitting local businesses. If you give it to the richest, they will stash it away in their offshore funds or plunder the currency/property markets.

MsTrust seems to think that by giving the super-rich high-fliers huge bonuses, she will get the best people for the job. It hasn't worked so far and it won't in the future. All she will get is the greediest people, who will fail yet again and then move on to another top job.

The Tories have no empathy or sympathy for what they class as the scrounging poor, no legal route for refugees or those that would like to migrate to join their families that are already here. Hence it's more profitable to put 50 people in a rubber dinghy designed to carry no more than 10 and send them across the Channel than it is to trade in illegal drugs.

Back in the 1960's Martin Luther King gave a speech that started "I have a dream ......"
In Birmingham this week, Suella Braverman also said "she has a dream and an obsession ..... ". Another one that knows not from whence or how she and her family came to live in this country.

Maybe she should read (or listen to) Mr. King's speech properly and have a good think about how she so wrongly and disgustingly paraphrased what he said, though I doubt she'd still understand even if she did. If she's the best legal mind the Conservatives could find until a couple of weeks ago .... I doubt her replacement will be much better to be honest.

We can only hope they are all put on that first flight to Rwanda and told to find their own way with no money in their pockets and the clothes on their backs as their only possessions.

A political party full of very horrible people Theo. I couldn't put it more simply than that. We've seen years of their shit and it is becoming absolutely "wearing" for lotsa people in the country esp after the global crises that have affected us so badly in recent years. Their headlong rush for growth completes a Tory/UKIP hardline coup, a coup without any democratic mandate, scrutiny or consent btw!! The disgruntled voters who helped the hard right to carry out this coup are now ignored. At least May and Johnson acknowledged their concerns with some "levelling up" slogans. Truss doesn't even bother now!! She blatantly redistributes wealth to enrich the already rich and offers us a derisory "trickle down slap in the face"!!! The cannon fodder of the Brexit disaster have now been dumped, the lie that it was a revolt against the Metropolitan elite is now exposed. The promised sunlit uplands are now emerging in their full horror. A Britain deregulated from reality, of poverty wages and zero-hours contracts. Is it any wonder that even the Brexit voters of 2016 are looking back in horror. To say I'm angry is an understatement - my rage is incandescent!!
