Another thing. Burnley seemed a lot fitter than our boys. Apart from when they were feigning injury.

The most worrying thing from Friday wasn’t on the pitch but off it.
Bromby was actually coaching the team from the White Rose Club. He also wanted to see footage of the players at half time and the half time team talk. He was heard to say ‘tell Holmes if he doesn’t sort himself out he’s off out on loan’
He told them to tighten up the middle, Hogg too slow and to get Tino on

Always thought Bromby was Hodkinson's puppet.

I think Snoots you are being a bit unfair on Koroma. The reason Koroma tried to cut in and then went back outside and miskicked was because the full back Roberts (was it?) had him in his pocket. He was forcing him outside all the time. Koroma did want to cut in, but he was being offered so much space outside he changed his mind at the last minute and absolutely fckued up. Koroma NEEDS to come in from wide-ish positions (not wing-bound) and curl the ball goalwards with his stronger foot. Of course he's lost confidence. Corboran didn't use him much last season and this is a player who has come all the way from unwanted, to non-league, to league two and then the championship - of course his confidence is potentially fragile, but he's a really good player and he wants to do well if you let him. Otherwise loan him to Chesterfield for six months and watch him blossom.
One solution, you obviously have some money. Buy Cole Stockton from Morecambe NOW. He won't break the bank, but he might help you break the backs of a few Championship defences. Scoring 23 goals for Morecambe in Division One takes some doing!

Lets face it, Carlos polished a lot of turds, he knew he wouldn't get away with that again and quit.
Schofield is the cheap option, he's also someone who will tow the club line without fuss(Unlike the Cowleys.)
First half was poor, very poor. Second half was alright for about 10minutes.
That game is/was a free hit as far as I'm concerned however If we play like that again at Birmingham I will be very worried especially given my previous post in this thread

Maybe, just maybe, it was Bromby's interference that swayed Carlos to bugger off then?

Schofield seems like a nice guy, but you know where they say nice guys finish ........
The really worrying bit about your man Bromby's distance coaching is that it sounds pretty close to being right. Holmes seemed pretty much all over the place without adding to the sum of human happiness. Hogg looked like one of the main contributors to your play-off defeat and continues to give the impression that he's not only off the pace, but he's also not likely to get back on it in midfield - and sadly he's not a fearsome enough tackler to justify such a lack of legs.
Playing Koroma to the left of the attack so he can come inside on his right foot is a good idea if that is what was meant to happen. He'll lose the ball some of the time taking on a defender - that doesn't matter. But having him hug the left touchline and regard it like a security blanket is bizarre. Going outside and whipping the ball in has to be a surprise move. He isn't fast enough to skin his defender, but he is clever enough and has the skills to beat a man.
But despite his success last season Danny Ward is the worry. He was up against a career full back playing central defence and gave him such an easy time he was wearing headphones and reading a novel in the second half. If your forwards take no pressure off the rest of the team it will always crumble. They may decide to play the Birmingham game without netting with jumpers for posts. It's very doubtful either side will trouble them.

All good points Devongone, the most worrying thing for me is that if Bromby is calling the shots is Schofield ready to coach at this level?
