Nations League: ROI v Scotland
#1
It's a guessing game re Steve Clarke's starting line up for this match. Some players rested after that vg victory v Armenia. So others will come in to "take the fight" to Ireland. I'd like to see our strikers scoring goals. Has to be Adams "up top" again. John McGinn professing in today's Sky Sport interview that he wants to score more goals and should've scored v Armenia. Do it John!! Lets get another win in Dublin and keep winning these NL matches!!

Just the type of team we lose to! If we can't beat ROI we don't deserve to qualify for anything.

xxxx embarrassing so far.

Clarke has fucked the team selection again, the 3 CBs are all diddys...... Mcginn missed 2 great chances.

3-0 down. Ireland have turned up in the mood for a fight, our guys look like they spent last night in Temple bar.

Another dreadful 1st half from another Clarke selected Scotland team!!!! Thumb down Thumb down Thumb down Clarke totally "found out" AGAIN just like v Ukraine, but this was a game v a shit team that hasn't won a home match in 12 fixtures!! McGinn should've been "hooked" after 30 mins"!!!!!! Crap, never gonna score a goal and giving the baw away so regularly, Clarke should've had no choice to remove him!! However, this whole Scotland team has also been "found out": the team shape wrong, choice of player wrong and a massive attitudinal problem - looked like these c#### believed all they had to do was show up in Dublin and pick up the 3 pts. Only one team showed up and fighting for every baw!! Scotland an absolute disgrace and IMO Clarke's position should be in doubt after two dreadful non-performances in the last three fixtures!! IMO there was no point in changing the team that won v Armenia after watching this crap! Also Clarke's use of McTominay in this team highly questionable. Armenia will beat Scotland if this shit team plays out the same garbage on Wednesday and Clarke's position should definitely be in doubt. We've made this ROI team look terrific, a joke!!! Thumb down

The only reason to play this system is to get Tierney and Robertson involved. Why we started off with 3 CBs who cant use the ball is anyones guess. Amateur stuff.

We really need to rethink the system for the next game - but whats more worrying is how many 50/50s we have backed out off.

Oh and Gordon really needs to hang up his gloves, he's been brutal today.

I did warn you. We're struggling already after just 2 games. No passion, no guile, no idea.

One can raise the whole issue re matches like these ones being effectively played in the close season. Most of these players look like they already wanna be on the beaches "chilling out"!!!!! scrutiny must be applied to Clarke and how he "goes about his business" on the training pitch - LOTSA THESE SCOTLAND PLAYERS DIDN'T LOOK CAPABLE OF PLAYING A COMPETITIVE MATCH TONIGHT AND TOTALLY DISJOINTED. Clarke must've been aware of such misgivings on the training pitches leading up to this fixture; so why pick them???? Remember that Ukraine previously beat ROI with a a B team!! Also "three at the back" just works with Tierney "on board". What is wrong with Clarke that he can't heed the clear warnings re this shit set up?????? Ukraine play ROI next week at a Polish venue and watch how Ukraine deal with this poor Irish team as they have the proper fight, guile and conviction that is required.

Robertson was absolutely honking again, he might be decent at liverpool with good players around him but he has done zip in a scotland top never mind as a captain. Gilmour isn't the kind of player to throw on when you are 2 down either.

A gruelling trip to Armenia awaits - be interesting to see how many of the squad fancy it or decide to stay home.
