I think that's about 10 x AJ journalists killed in the past decade, the latest one named Shireen Abu Akleh in Jenin and murdered by an Israeli sniper plus another journo wounded. These people wear protective press vests/helmets and in the case of Shireen Abu Akleh, she was shot in the face, a shocker. This is another journo to add to the huge list of journos murdered worldwide by extreme state enforcers. In the case of the Israeli govt/military, they carry out these extreme actions with impunity - apparently 10 x Palestinian journos have been killed in the past two years in Gaza and the West Bank and there will be no formal action taken against Israel - there never is!!!

Yep! Indeed, what is the world coming to!! There is no hope for a positive future after watching events like this one for how long???? How many years have we witnessed evil state driven bampots doing all sorts of horrible things to people and doing it with impunity on a global scale - Kashoggi, Yemen massacres, Myanmar now on a civil war footing after years of oppression/atrocities. There are many more examples. In this particular case, you surely BACK OFF AND SHOW SOME RESPECT!!!!! Keep well away from such a solemn, grief-ridden farewell to a well known journalist. The Israelis just can't do it!! This is the superior oppressor, a bully that holds the upper hand over what they regard to be second class or third class citizens who are actually the indigenous people of the country they inhabit and they cannot tolerate this kind of activity within the holy city of Jerusalem which they regard as theirs after all their orchestrations during the Trump era in forcing US recognition of their "right" to rule over this city. Absolutely no hope for the future, no great world leaders/pragmatists who will ever deal with this particular issue in the way it should be rectified.

There is very little difference between what Putin is doing to the Ukranians to what Israel has done to the Palestinians.

I must add that this shooting highlights the difference in attitude towards a military invasion and an illegal occupation. Two countries are invaded by hostile forces and both these occupiers possess nuclear weapons.
In the first and longest war of occupation, the people of the invaded country are labelled as terrorists and ignored by the West. I've watched this situ from afar during my lifetime up to now - it is not right!! In the more recent invasion, the invaded country (Ukraine) is lauded as having heroic defenders. The invader of one scenario gets hit by sanction and named a pariah state, the other gets huge loans and weapons from the West. Why are our responses to Russia and Israel so different?????
