Homegrown Players

Seem`s to have really become an issue after selling Danny Welbeck to Arsenal that Man Utd are losing there identity by selling players that have come through the ranks

Welbeck by the way is probably the most successful forward to come through the ranks since Mark Hughes-there`s been plenty who didnt make it at Man Utd and did ok elsewhere David Healy, David Johnson, Jovan Kirovski etc

Despite what the papers say its always been about selling homegrown players even the likes of Gary Walsh, Clayton Blackmore, Nicky Butt, Phil Neville, Norman Whiteside, John O Shea, Wes Brown, David Beckham were all sold without it being an issue of losing identity
Theres certainly a damn lot more in Danny Higginbottom, Ronnie Wallwork, Kevin Pilkington, Simon Davies, John Curtis, Luke Chadwick and half the Leicester city squad amongst the many others who have been brought through the ranks and sold off, I dont see why suddenly its been become a problem?

It not a problem, especially when you compare their current team with the other top teams, but you do have to wonder whether a foreign manager like LVG will stick by the youth tradition they have at OT. I do hope so because their youth policy and the way they brought young player up through the ranks is one of the few things I like about MU!!!

I really think he will to be honest, apparently his groundwork helped Bayern Munich be succesful as they are now and naturally the great team he developed at Ajax
I sincerley hope teams do develop their youth`s properley like Man U have done over the years not just to make up the numbers, sadly not enough coming through from Chelsea and Man City anymore given they used to be superb for Homegrown but massive well done to Tottenham some great talent come from there last few years.
