I saw them at Roundhay Park when they were opening for the Strolling Bones at the start of their retirement tour in 1982 (according to some online stuff). Inhaling 2nd hand spliffs at the time made my memory a bit hazy, can't think why. Tongue Me and my bro were still pub crawling our way up to the park when George Thorogood & The Destroyers kicked it all off. We also saw a 6' 19" version of Tin Tin, otherwise known as Joe Jackson, who told us it was Different for Girls, amongst other things - so that's it.

Different for Girls - Joe Jackson

A 40 year retirement tour ain't bad going, however you work it out when you consider they had only had a 20 year'ish career at the time. Big Grin

We almost fell over a young couple lying on a slope and getting to know each other rather intimately with their jeans round their ankles on the way out. Laugh At least it wasn't muddy but glad I wasn't washing their underwear afterwards. Whistle
