Johnson watch activated - the nightmare begins for the UK!!
As that old saying goes: "The chicken is gradually coming home to roost" and it is a Brexit fowl too!! The thing that really angers me re a lotta this stuff is that we were pre-warned of the negative implications (lots n lots of damning info that was gonna affect Joe Public, businesses, manufacturing, the financial sector, legal servs etc) of Brexit through different independent studies - an absolute scandal!!

The 2019 election was largely about Brexit, and how the Conservatives managed to make it a winning policy, largely because they weren’t going to go down the second referendum road. Bye Bye Johnny Foreigner and red tape....

The media and the opposition parties helped him with this by trashing any alternative. And they did so willingly. For instance, the only person I heard who had a plan about at least trying to deal with climate change and build a green economy was that beardy old commie that was going to round up all the jews and make the rich pay more tax.

Johnson wont go near the difficult questions because it would mean he'd have to tell people bad news - which he hates- and the press would slaughter him - electoral poison.

So he will hide behind covid until the clusterfuck that is Brexit becomes too obvious and then he will be quietly ushered off to somewhere he can make more money. See "call me Dave" and his recent wheezes.

In my area it was about the labour vote being taken for granted. Brexit was mentioned but only in that Labour did not support the will of the people. You ignore the people at your peril. I continued to vote Labour but I wasn't in the majority, although Barnsley did retain most of their MPs with reduced majorities. The Labour hate continues now no matter what comes out about Boris and Co.

Seems to be more pressure coming to get people back to the office now.

The times banging on about pay cuts for those that continue to do their jobs from home.

One good way to lose friends and demotivate people - give them a pay cut for working all sorts of hours from home, often including their old commuting times and more.

Complete and utter bullshit that these people have had a "back-door pay rise" because they don't have to pay to commute/park anymore (or as often).

Says all you need to know about how some money grubbing clowns think and the fact it's The Times and the other scum Murdoch/right wing press pushing this issue.

The commercial landlords that prop up that party with donations will be piling the pressure on.

They are more interested in building on green belt without planning permission. They get paid rent per square foot or yard, not arses sat on seats per square yard

That endorses the case even more so that political parties should be funded from a public finance model and to a set max funding level depending on the size of the party and its membership. Another method is to set a limit on these kinda donations and the level of funding that any political party is allowed to hold. What we are seeing again (not a new phenomenon btw!) is a lotta wealthy people within a political party being funded by other wealthy people/chums who are expecting favour in different ways and that is being done with impunity and utter contempt for the public and other critics by the Johnson govt.

This is worth a read on the toerags' latest regressive tax to resolve their outdated and failed NHS care system in England that covers the needs of a far bigger population compared with Scotland. I must add I'm absolutely seething that they have "pulled this tax stunt" on Scottish workers and businesses and f### the £1.1B pa "handout" (under Barnet Formula rules) to the Scot govt!!!!!!!! Thumb down IMO that power to set NI contributions should be immediately returned to the Scot govt!! The money coming from Scottish workers and businesses is much more than what these bastards are giving us as well as them using this money for ventures that are not to the benefit of the Scottish people and are unrelated to NHS Care either!! They are known shameless chancers/liars and Johnson's debate today in parliament with a scathing Ian Blackford was an utter disgrace with his usual infantile default position to change the subject to "all you talk about is Scottish independence" - utter bullshit coming from the resident buffoon and avoid the searching questions re the extent of disadvantage to less well off tax payers and definite rich benefactors who they are associated with and vote for them.

Tories continue the wheeze of making people who don't vote for them pay through the nose to keep the system running at bare minimum, whilst their mates, votors and donors get away lightly, squirrelling their wealth away offshore. Robbing the country blind.

So unfair on the young and the low paid to be shouldering this, if it were an increase in income tax, scotland would not have been included and the tories could have taxed higher earners to pay for it.

Instead, they've lumped everyone in together and ultimately, the poorer and the young especially in the north are paying to subsidise middle class southern tory voters. Boris is 'levelling up' alright the chancing bastard.....Storing up massive problems for the future.
