The spokesman rejected Dominic Cummings’s claim that Boris Johnson’s latest comments about Hancock’s resignation confirmed that he was as erratic as a shopping trolley. (See 1.38pm.) Asked about Cummings’ latest tweet, the spokesman said:

Considering he was hoping for a fully televised and paid for royal type TV jobby next year. Our trade with the EU has now fallen so dramatically since January that hauliers cannot get the return loads which makes it all economically viable. They have even fucked up the financial services deal, which was one of the few decent cards we had to play.
