Hanworth Villa Football Club is a football club based in Hanworth, London Borough of Hounslow, England. They are currently members of the Combined Counties League Premier Division and play at Rectory Meadow.

The club was established in 1976 and initially played in the Hounslow & District League.[2] They later transferred to the West Middlesex League before joining the Middlesex County League in 1984.[2][3] League restructuring in 1991 saw Division One reduced from 22 to 12 clubs and renamed the Premier Division, with Hanworth relegated to the renamed Division One.[3] However, a third-place finish in 1991–92 saw them promoted to the Premier Division.[3] In 1993–94 the club were relegated to Division One despite finishing eighth. The following season they finished third in Division One, earning another immediate promotion back to the Premier Division.[3]

In 2002–03 Hanworth were Premier Division champions,[4] also winning the Premier Division Cup with a 3–1 against Stonewall in the final.[5] They were champions again in 2004–05,[4] after which they were promoted to Division One of the Combined Counties League.[6] They won the Division One Challenge Cup in 2006–07 and retained it the following season which also saw them end the season as Division One runners-up.[7] However, they were denied promotion due to their ground failing to meet the necessary criteria.[8] After completing the work during the 2008–09 season, they were promoted at the end of the season after finishing as runners-up again.[6]

In 2011–12 Hanworth won the Southern Combination Challenge Cup and retained the trophy the following season. In 2013–14 they won the Southern Combination Challenge Cup for a second time, as well as winning the Combined Counties League Premier Challenge Cup, beating Spelthorne Sports in the final.[7] The 2015–16 season saw them win the Middlesex Charity Cup for the first time, beating Cockfosters 2–0 in the final.[9] They won the cup again in 2017–18 with a 3–2 win over Spelthorne Sports in the final.

Grange Park Long Eaton

Binfield Football Club is a football club based in Binfield, near Bracknell, Berkshire, England. Affiliated to the Berks & Bucks Football Association,[2] the club are currently members of the Hellenic League Premier Division and play at Stubb's Lane. Their nickname is the Moles.[3]

he club was established in 1892 by employees at the local brickworks and farm labourers.[4] They initially played in the Ascot & District League, before joining the Great Western Combination in 1946.[5] They won the Combination at the first attempt and finished as runners-up the following season.[5] However, they left the league at the end of the 1950–51 season,[5] joining the Reading & District League.[4]

In 1971–72 the club were promoted from Division One to the Premier Division, but were relegated at the end of the 1973–74 season. They won Division One in 1975–76 to earn promotion back to the Premier Division. However, by the mid-1980s they had been relegated to Division Two. Consecutive Division Two and Division One title-winning seasons in 1986–87 and 1987–88 saw them return to the Premier Division.[4]

In 1989 Binfield transferred to Division One of the Chiltonian League, which they won in their first season, earning promotion to the Premier Division.[6] They finished as Premier Division runners-up in 1991–92 and won the division in 1995–96.[6]

In 2000 the league merged into the Hellenic League, with Binfield placed in Division One East.[6] In 2001 they absorbed junior club Binfield Forest.[4] In 2008–09 they won Division One East and were promoted to the Premier Division. Their second season in the division saw them finish as runners-up.[6] In 2011–12 they won both the Hellenic League Floodlit Cup (beating Shortwood United 2–0 in the final)[7] and the Berks & Bucks Senior Trophy (winning 9–8 on penalties against Abingdon Town after a 1–1 draw).[8] The club won the Floodlit Cup again in 2017–18 with a 2–1 win over Thatcham Town in the final.[9]

Binfield are in the semi finals of the 2020/21 FA Vase after a stunning 5-0 win at Long Eaton United in Derbyshire.

A brace from captain fantastic Sean Moore and a Liam Ferdinand hat-trick ensured the Moles made it through to the semi-finals where they will play away to US Portsmouth – one match from a landmark day at Wembley Stadium.

The big win meant the Moles didn’t have to rely on the penalty shoot-out heroics of goalkeeper Chris Grace. If Binfield reach the final, they will not have played a single minute of this seasons competition at home.

United Services Portsmouth v Binfield

United Services Portsmouth FC began their life as Portsmouth Royal Navy, formed in 1962 to bring competitive football to naval services.

Royal Navy sides have played a part in Hampshire football since early 1900’s. The Hampshire FA records are sprinkled with famous names such as HMS Victory, Royal Navy Depot, and HMS Fisgard.

Dennis Probee formed Portsmouth Royal Navy FC (PRNFC) in 1962 with the intention of providing competitive soccer at the highest level possible for all serving Navy players to bridge the gap between the United Services Football League and the Royal Navy Representative Side.

PRNFC played in the Hants League from its formation until 1985/86 when PRNFC became one of the seventeen founder members of the inaugural Wessex Lge.

In 1981, the youth side won the Dallas Cup in the USA as a Royal Navy side. At that time ‘Victory Stadium’ at nearby Pitt Street was closed & the club relocated to the present ‘Victory Stadium’ at Burnaby Road. The Burnaby Road Sports Complex has evolved with Victory Stadium the centre piece, boasting a 500 seated covered stand & a top drawer playing surface adjacent to Victory Stadium are two 4G Astro pitches for Football & Rugby with our clubhouse the ‘Sportsmans Arms’ close by!

PRNFC's most successful season in the Wessex League was 96/97 finishing 10th, PRNFC have reached the semi final stage of the Wessex League Cup, 94/95 and again in 95/96. In 2002 PRNFC introduced a Youth Section, this has now evolved into one of the strongest Youth Club’s in Hampshire with teams playing in the Hampshire County, South Hants Glass & Mid-Solent Youth League’s, also achieving the FA Charted Standard. PRNFC were relegated in 2002 to the Hants Premier League, in season 03/04 finishing 6th & reaching the Qtr.-Final in the Hants FA Senior Cup.

Season 04/05 saw PRNFC re-elected to the Wessex League and being renamed United Services Portsmouth FC. Season 06/07 saw the introduction of Mini-Soccer to USPFC Youth.

The first success as United Services Portsmouth FC came in 2012 when the first team won the Portsmouth Senior Cup at Fratton Park in front of nearly 500 people, beating Moneyfields 4-3. Although before this the PRNFC side won the Hampshire League 2004 League Cup in 2011 after an impressive season. In recent years the youth set up has expanded and had endless success. Most notably the Hampshire Youth Cup u18 win in 2014 and at u16 level in 2012.

In recent times USPFC has becoming involved in Womens football with the creation of a number of ladies teams.

The first and reserve sides continue to play in the Sydenhams Wessex league and Wyvern Leagues. Each have secured high finishing positions in their respective leagues, in the 17/18 season the first team missed out on promotion by one place.

The outcome of Season 19 – 20 from a USPFC was very disappointing, all teams were top of their respective leagues, all statistics for all teams were looking to be new USPFC records with USPFC 1st at the top of the Points-Per Game (PPG) table for all teams at Level 6 in Hampshire but the season was curtailed unsatisfactorily in the end!!

For Season 20 – 21 we have managed to retain most of our playing base as well each management team with Glenn Turnbull, Fraser Quirk, Paul Barton & now Marlon Day in place to manage the 1st team, Lee Mould, Simon Hayes supported by Tom Grice in place for the Reserves, Charlie Smith, Georgie Hoban & Nina Page managing and coaching the Ladies with Danny Knights, Neil Scammel and Marc Hopwood managing & coaching the u18s, we have further coaching support from Robbie Johns and Dave Ferrat. We are looking to surpass Season 19 – 20, thus all teams are hoping to be very competitive week in week out.
