6 hours? What time did you wake up last night? Reporters at Windsor all through the night - just in case Phil got up for one last stroll down the Long Walk and popped into Frogmore Cottage for brew with his grandson I suppose? Then again, they were the stood wrong side of the Castle if he did.

Like they (BBC especially) didn't over cook it last weekend?

I didn't mind the minute's silence (which I didn't observe, probably the same as tens of millions of others) nor the BBC coverage. At least it wasn't wall-to-wall, channel-to-channel - I mean you could at least watch the snooker if you wanted.

What I do object to is the jaw-dropping revelation that it took him 8 years to organise the funeral arrangements. Eight bloody years!!! It was a fairly simple job, especially with all the lackeys at his beck and call. I've organised my funeral service and chose the music and it took me all of eight minutes.

When you join me down below, let me know if the BBC praised me for it.

"We've made the difficult decision to put India on the red list" ????? The third highest country with current Covid infections and deaths despite vaccines. Wtf was hard about that decision you friggin' moron? Something to do with investments by folk with influence by any chance? Bodgit eventually got the message about not travelling to the sub-(in)continent but I could bet it wasn't him that took the decision.

Still letting plenty of flights in though - just like we did last year from some place in China called, erm, Wuhan? Where's that then?

I'm halfway through a book written by Peter Oborne titled "The Assault on Truth". This book has apparently been banned by the Brit govt and within RW media circles (not to be spoken about) because it is a factual exposure of Johnson's early history of lying, from his time after university (sacked from posts for blatantly lying) and onwards to being the most morally corrupt and untrustworthy scumbag that the Brit people could ever have voted in on 12 December 2019. It also covers other similar minded Tory associates and analyses the emergence of a new "moral barbarism" deployed by people like Trump, Johnson and others complicit with their RW media allowing their corrupt practise/behaviour to go unchallenged plus a look at the tragedy of the pandemic and the way it was crassly dealt with by Johnson et al. It is definitely worth a read. Here's a fitting historical comment by Sir Walter Scott in the prelude: "Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practise to deceive!" That says it all!!

Now it appears that Boris sort of promised his buddy, James Dyson, a tax break for his workers/firm as a wee sweetener to produce ventilators back at the start of the pandemic. Now that surely can't be true, I mean Boris is a paragon of virtue and doesn't believe in cronyism. Whistle Rolleyes Laugh

This has appeared in this thread before, so can anybody tell me exactly how many ventilators James Dyson's (now foreign) firm delivered to the NHS and at what cost? Poor old Astra Zeneca must be regretting ever producing valuable vaccines at cost, as just about everyone else is only interested in lining their own pockets at the taxpayers' expense.
