I've noticed that the Johnson supporters have become a cult and they are having a go at reporters or journalists if they criticise Johnson or the Government. The same happened in the Labour Party with Corbyn and the Corbynistas and it's also happening in Scotland with Sturgeon as well.

And that is absolutely the case on this side of the pond with Trump!!! His cult followers even criticise Fox News and other staunch Republicans who call him out at times!! Plus of course they have to also raise it up a notch or two occasionally and actually provide the odd death threat at opponents as well!!!

The criticisms up here in Scotland Matt are relative to some of the most ridiculous questions that have been put to the FM by the bulk of unionist/Tory backing hacks during the daily COVID-19 updates. The repetition is absolutely breathtaking and clearly orchestrated with political overtones attached to their questions. Asking the same question after listening to the answer a previous four times is absolutely outrageous and cheeky TBF! Scrutiny is fine but not presented in this form of attack. However, Nicola Sturgeon has handled these situations with great authority and articulation anyway and "calling it as it is". 10 out of 10 for keeping her cool in the face of this kinda interrogation!! Thumb up

Got to say I hate that term "fake media"!! There is no such thing no matter what side of an argument you are on. None of the media is fake, it may well be biased in terms of its objectives and opinion but that doesn't make it fake!!! At the end of the day the media has a right to be opinionated one way or the other, my argument would be that we as a public seem to have lost the ability to see the difference between news and opinion and the media seem to have forgotten to treat these two entities as different aspects of media.

No wonder the Scottish Tories are a laughing stock. They attack Nicola for the very stance that they defend Boris for. Now Nicola has made mistakes, as have all governments, but she's not as arrogant and bumptious as Boris.

What I would like to know is what the bosses of the hospitals/boards/trusts are doing to earn their huge salaries. I heard one of their spokespersons defend their inaction over the number of Covid-19 patients being sent back into care homes, as the Government hadn't given clear instructions on what to do. To me, it's down to basic common sense.

Firstly that decision should be made on purely medical grounds, taking into account that care homes could (and have) become a hotbed for Covid-19 transmission. That decision is down to the medical professional who is in charge of signing patients out. That's what he/she gets paid for and is nothing to do with government.

On another matter, I must admit to switching off the various press conferences after the updated figures have been given out. I'm still waiting on Nicola's grown-up conversation, I know about the UK's 5 categories of risk (we're at 4) and it's the same old thing time and time again and again ..... and again. Even as far as figures are concerned, I'm disinclined to believe the numbers of tests, as we've been lied to on various occasions, I've lost track of the at least 3 ways of counting deaths and it's all become too boring. Perhaps that's the master plan - to spread confusion and apathy.

I'll add another bugbear of mine that is, "Why have no high-earning govt officials, civil servants, university officials etc not taken agreed salary reductions during this lockdown period like many other pragmatic high earners have done"????? We're all in it together eh (NOT!) lol!!
