Line of Duty is a pretty good series on TV at the minute. It's the concluding part tomorrow night.

Yeah, Life On Mars was quality. Ashes To Ashes was a bit more hit and miss, but still great telly at its best. Been working my way through The Shield this winter, and wondering to what extent the character of Gene Hunt was influenced by Vic Mackey.

Never seen The Shield. Is that the one where it's set in LA? I've seen it advertised on 4OD when I've been looking at boxsets to watch.

I tried the shield - I just couldn't get into it at all.

'The wire' was much better.......On Netflix Just now quite enjoying 'mindhunter' - very creepy but really interesting.

Yeah, The Shield is set in LA and the whole thing is available for free on All4. I do love The Wire as well, but the two don't really bear comparison for me; they're good for different reasons.

Massive fan of Inside Number 9. Been re-watching again from the 1st series on iPlayer. I've been watching Roald Dahl Tales Of The Unexpected from the 70s and 80s on Youtube which is very similar.

Aye 'tales of the unexpected' is what's closest to it.

The 2 lead actors are so brilliant, its been consistently good over the 5 seasons.
