Breaking news ...Derby have been charged by the EFL for breach of spending rules !

It's strange they are doing this now ? There are 2 possible outcomes as far as we are concerned ..or in theory 2
1. They can't make it stick on us so they are going to have to pick on Derby ?
2. They are so confident of nailing us that now they are going to nail Derby aswell !

I think they are completely different charges although both are about the stadium sale. Ours is about when we added our stadium sale to the accounts compared to when the transaction actually went through. Derby's appears to be the valuation of the stadium, they sold it for 80m but their own accounts only value it at 41m, and that difference is what kept them under the 39m. Villa we will have to wait and see as until they come down there is nothing the EFL can do.

Maybe thats the case, lets hope so!! It seems Derby are putting up a similar defence as we have by claiming they were doing everything in consultation with the EFL!! I would imagine every club going forward will use this same defence.

Thats good news. Didn't help us against Blackburn but I still think we might have lost that game anyway, but will be good to have him available on Friday for a game against his old team.
