Celtic are that bad they havent even any fans to defend them on this board Wink They should walk this league instead theyve a clueless manager they got on the cheap who spent the pocket money they gave him on cheap imports who dont care about the club, crap football also

Our Dodgy beginning to the Season has become 1-0 to the Dons, dare we dream?

To be totally fair to Deila, as a manager he's still working largely with the squad of underwhelming players on lucrative contracts the previous incumbent left him with (and as a Rangers supporter I know what such a squad looks like). They were pretty guff last season too for the most part but had Kris Commons carrying them in a way he's not done this year (The 2012/13 season saw them have a similarly poor start when Commons was off form and in and out of the team). His history suggests he's not going to give 100% this season until he gets a new contract on better terms, but if he gets it I think Celtic's results will improve.

BUT

I obviously hope it doesn't happen and Aberdeen catch and overtake them. I've been saying for a lot of years that the best thing that could happen to Scottish football is a league win for a different side, even if it was at the expense of Rangers. That would work out even better for me now in the current circumstances! I expect the fear of failure will cause the Celtic board to splash the cash in January, but if the players are of the quality Deila has brought in so far (with the exception of Guidetti) that won't be anything to worry about. Particularly if he keeps thinking of numpties like Bitton as mainstays of his side.  Laughing

Aberdeen have played well and you deserve to be right up there. Hopefully your form won't be interrupted and you can keep building a head of steam. The thing that usually kills the league challenge from non-OF sides is the inability to carry form throughout the season and to get the results needed even if your playing form dips. I think McInnes is as likely as anyone to be able to instil the required determination to get there, so best of luck to you and hopefully we'll see you sitting top of the pile come the end of the season.  Thumb up
