On the box
On the Sheffield United scale of VAR decisions the first is a penalty to City and Salah is offside
Dippers currently 2 up approaching half time

The first goal could easily have seen it brought back for the pen to City, but there might have been a handball by Gundogan as well. Te second goal looked tight and for them to make a decision in seconds is unusual!!! They didn't even show any replays with their fancy lines on the screen, yet it looked close enough to do that.
Took nearly 4 minutes to disallow the Blunts one yesterday

I take back what I said about Preston's penalty yesterday. Having seen the VAR decision at Anfield, Kongolo's arm was "not in an unnatural position". Rolleyes

The thing is its not VAR that is the problem, its the way its being used. The penalty claim before the first goal was ruled by the ref as not a penalty, so when they look at it on VAR they are only looking for an obvious error on behalf of the ref, and they didin't deem that an obvious error. Its got nothing to do with whether they think it was or wasn't a penalty, its whether in their opinion the ref should have called it differently than what he did based on where he was, what he say and what he said to the VAR ref.
Dippers go 9 points clear City lack a defence and today a keeper although City had more than enough chances to get something

Dippers 3 Citeh 1

The new handball law is ridiculous:
on the 2nd claim Sterling, going nowhere, AIMED the ball at the Reds player's hand to claim a pen. There's going to be a Handball Coach at every Club soon.

The second hand ball never a penalty, Pep won’t be there next season City not the force they once were. PNE champions of the Premier next season absolute certainty

Tranmere 0 Wycombe 2

When you fail to notice a 16 stone 37 year old in acres of space in your penalty area then you may have defensive problems, Akinfenwa unmarked heading home a Jacobson free kick the supplier became scorer of a second about a minute later when a rugby legue tackle in the box brought a penalty for the Chairboys, two up at half time the visitors were rarely troubled and it says a lot about the home side when a sub gets MOM. They meet again for the third time in 10 days in the cup on Wednesday suspect my money would be on Wycombe winning that one
