European Union Referendum - In or Out??

Also where is the "magic money tree" to finance all these new measures when May's govt exchequer was effectively skint. Tory bullshit as usual and one can only hope that most people can see through these kinda rushed policies with very little "thought" put into the fact the probs are far more complicated than eg "banging offenders up in prison for longer"!! These are highly political so called "tough measures" rather than having a genuine interest in resolving a lotta the social probs that were indeed exacerbated by the policies of shitheid Tory govts and currently we have been landed with another one!!

That is a ploy right out of the Trump Playbook!!! Deflection away from something you don’t want to talk about onto something that will “appeal” to most people and particualrly the Tories base support.

Its actually even worse than that. Bojo was directly and indirectly responsible for the rise of crime, especially in London

Let it not be forgotten that almost his first act as mayor of London was to exceed his authority and oust the Met Commissioner, Ian Blair. Then came the cuts and closures.

Now the latest "twist" in this suggested unpalatable US-UK trade pact, post Brexit, is Nancy Pelosi "throwing a spanner in the works" by announcing that if BoJo and his chums violate the backstop/Good Friday Agreement THERE WILL BE NO TREATY WHATSOEVER and the US Senate has the power of veto to do it!!! At long last, somebody "across the pond" using a bit of common sense and calling this possible crass move by a bunch of desperate RW Tory cretons for what it is!!

I'm not convinced Nancy Pelosi cares one iota about Brexit, the UK or BoJo!! This is just another stick for her to beat Trump with in the eyes of the electorate.

There must still be a strong "Irish influence" in American politics all the same that is comparable to the Jewish/israeli influence that we've been witnessing in the USA for a very long time.

Jo Swinson is refusing to work with Jeremy Corbyn to stop a no deal Brexit and doesn't want him as a caretaker PM or in charge of a caretaker Government. She would rather crash out with no deal than work with Labour or even trigger a general election. Happy to work with the Tories though wasn't she.

To be honest it doesn't really matter whether the lib dems support him or not, there are enough labour MPs who will not vote for him and have left the party whip to scupper any chance of him getting a majority from tory rebels.

Its a shame because it could be a good thing.

Still think a "no deal" is an absolute certainty, its Boris's policy.

The good Friday agreement is more important to US politics than some think. There is the existence of a powerful bipartisan Irish American voting bloc mostly on the democrat side for a start off. The article below shows how tricky it could be for trump to try and circumvent it.

Influence in American politics is governed by how much money any group is prepared to throw at it and who they are prepared to throw it at, the NRA being a primary example. I am not aware of any Irish groups particularly spending a lot of money on lobbying for Irish specific issues. It’s also worth noting that the large Irish communities have influence is mainly Democratic regions, areas of the country that Trump isn’t targeting with his rhetoric or campaigns.

The Irish communities are not known for being loyal to one party or the other either, they are spread across both parties. Maybe the Irish border issue can bring them together as one but over here bipartisan politics is almost nonexistent and any Republican Trump supporter will likely side against Pelosi on most things.

No deal can't be averted now I think.

Time to start stocking up on various foodstuffs and medicines.

ALSO

British steel saved by a Turkish army pension fund. Perhaps the gammons that voted leave in Scunthorpe can give pause for a moment and think of that.

xxxx dicks.

There are not f###### dicks just in Scunthorpe. They are spread all over the place in England in what is predominantly an "English problem"! IMO time to accelerate the push for Scottish independence as soon as this suicidal "no deal Brexit" is shamelessly initiated and stop f###### about!! I think the N Irish populace will do likewise for Irish reunification as set out in the Good Friday Agreement - they have that formal option and should take it!!

However, note this latest poll that confirms again a majority view that is anti "no deal" Brexit. What really "pisses me off" is listening to the disrespectful, arrogant shit being uttered by a conniving, unelected govt adviser named Dom Cummings!! I think he alone could be the major "spark" in activating civil disorder in this country if these Tory c#### somehow "get away" with this political scam!!!
