Ha ha ha!! I listened to that "put down" by Nicola!! Remember this is a supposed intelligent Old Etonian with the usual privileged education in this divisive two tier ed system that we accept in this country and indeed in Scotland rather than an all-embracing single tier top education system for all our kids in Scotland!! One missing element in the fabricated Rees-Mogg persona is that "streetwise" factor!! He is definitely a con man and the occasional suggestion that he could be a PM is deluded in the extreme!

I think Nicolas open letter to EU citizens living in Scotland today puts to bed this notion that the kind of nationalism on the loose down south is related in any way to Scottish nationalism.

Looks like the tories are playing games and wasting time again in these cross party talks. I've not been a fan of how Corbyn has handled Brexit recently but at least he has done the right thing and tried to find compromise. I suspect may will make it a her deal/no deal scenario at the death as the EU are starting to get cold feet about more extensions.
Cynical and reckless doesn't come close to covering it.

Some Scottish Tories talking about a "breakaway party" if Boris becomes PM!! I'll believe it when I see that ever happening but it still won't save them from political annihilation up here in Scotland!
https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2019...-euro-poll
Meanwhile in Westminster, May's position gradually becoming untenable and the "plot thickens" day by day as lotsa Tories fear the possible approach of EU elections and PM saying categorically, "My deal or no Brexit is becoming the stark choice"!!

Looks like we are going to be participating in the EU elections now Assuming we don't go over the cliff on Friday, like much of the tory party seem to want. Its clear now may is leading a national government type set up where she relies on opposition votes to keep us from disaster.
The tory party should never be forgiven by the british people for this, and UKIP or whatever those pseudo fascist bastards are calling themselves this week.

Merkel just now to Bundestag before arrive at #Brexit summit: "I think the extension should be as short as possible but it should be long enough to create calm, so we don’t have to meet every two weeks to talk about the same subject.”
Who said the germans don't have a sense of humour ?

Brexit: UK and EU agree delay to 31 October
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-47889404
Interesting to hear rees mogg and co talking of sabotaging the EU if we are forced to stay in.... with powers that he always said we didn't xxxx have in the first place and that's why we should leave. Him and the atlantic bridge crew must be starting to get a bit sweaty under the collar now.
On a more serious note, may will end up getting replaced by that fatberg fuckwit boris, and if so Scotland needs to be offered a chance to say "naw".
TAKE BACK CONTROL.

I couldn't agree more re that last comment! I actually think people like Rees-Mogg, Farage and other RW loon balls should be imprisoned for the irreparable damage that they have inflicted on the UK. I reckon in certain less democratic countries they would have to flee or suffer possible execution!! These people are gonna inflict even more political damage and instability on the country and that is utterly unacceptable and something must be done about it!! In Scotland, if there is a General election, our population must vote unanimously for the SNP and their mandate for Scottish independence - that will be our people's mandate to get away from the angst, the political turmoil, the hatred, the racism, misogny and real aggression that has infested English politics and will get worse - clear proof that Scotland's culture and politics are far different from the negative shit displayed by our English neighbours - we must separate from this fractured Union asap and a lotta Scots really have to "smell the coffee" and "get on board" the independence bandwagon!! Indeed, the biggest disappointment for me is the fact we didnae do it in 2014 and we would've been already on the road to governing our country in a far different way than being driven by these Brit gov/Unionist cretons at Westminster who have ignored and abused our reps with impunity for far too long as a result of that stupid anti-Scot indy vote in 2014 that gave these lunatics the licence to "piss" on us!!!
Re this 3rd delay of Brexit, IMO the humane thing to do would be for the EU to put the UK out of its misery and pull the plug now, but instead the EU appears to think it’d be better (or possibly just hilarious) to put us through a humiliating and idiotic round of EU elections – another thing Theresa May previously said was unthinkable but hasn’t resigned over – and imagine that THAT will somehow fix everything.
Evidently they must really enjoy having Nigel Farage and all his pals in Brussels and Strasbourg and can’t bear to let them go just yet, because it seems highly likely that an EU election next month would see furious Leave voters return lots of pro-Brexit MEPs with instructions to cause as much malicious havoc as possible. So lets prepare for another six months of misery as nothing is gonna change because of Labour's/Corbyn's intransigence re a people's vote - Article 50 will not be revoked, no general election and no 2nd referendum + a no deal scenario still to the fore just like now!!!
