Anyway, back to "real time" and Corbyn presenting an "alternative plan" to the current one and the EU apparently "seizing on it" as an option to break the impasse. I wonder how certain members of his own Labour Party will make of it with its 5 demands!?

What I don't get about the Labour Party is why they have never taken the opposite stance to the Tories and campaigned for No Brexit?? I know Corbyn is a Euro-sceptic, albeit a mild one, but surely this is his chance to set himself and Labour truly apart from the Tories.

I think a sense of realism is needed. It is very highly likely we will leave the EU now, one way or another. I think it is better Politics for Corbyn to be seen as the man who put himself behind the least damaging Brexit, rather than the man who blocked Brexit.

I agree, just makes him the best of a bad bunch in reality though!! I also wonder if he has put this together knowing May is unlikely to support it and then we will see if he will indeed change the partys position to one demanding a new referendum.

Ultimately what he's doing is the right thing, the tories need to reach out now and make concessions to labour to get their deal through.

If it's as you suggest, then its a strategic move which then ticks the box that he has done his best to 'engage constructively' and is then free to pursue his own agenda... Which as you point out could involve pushing for a new referendum
