Sheffield Wednesday Football Club is a professional association football club based in Sheffield, England. Manager Alex Neil is again likely to have to include Academy products to supplement his squad for their trip to Sheffield Wednesday.
Over the past couple of weeks, both Jack Baxter and Ethan Walker have featured on the bench for the Lilywhites and could again be involved in the travelling party heading over the Pennines to take on the Owls.

Louis Moult was the latest to join the packed medical room, missing last weekend’s win over Millwall and he will be given as long as possible to see whether he is fit to return to the ground he scored his first goal for the club, in last season’s defeat to Jos Luhukay’s team.

Sean Maguire and Brandon Barker (both hamstring) and Josh Earl (thigh) are all making good progress, but are not yet ready to return to the squad and will target returns over the festive period.
Josh Harrop and Billy Bodin (both ACL) and Callum Robinson (hamstring) are all out long term, leaving the manager with limited choices, particularly at the attacking end of the pitch.
for last weekend's defeat to Swansea City, Wednesday boss Luhukay made two changes, preferring Daniel Pudill at centre half to Michael Hector, while Josh Onomah, on loan from Tottenham Hotspur until the end of the season, replaced the suspended Barry Bannan.

Scotland international Bannan sits out the second of two games after collecting ten yellow cards for the season, but whether Onomah keeps his place will be one question, after the manager criticised his display against the Swans last week.

Defender Joost van Aken and former Lilywhites midfielder David Jones were included in the matchday squad for the first time since August in that game and could push for recalls to the starting XI.

But forward Fernando Forestieri (hamstring) and strikers Gary Hooper (groin) and Sam Winnall (hamstring) and Kieran Lee (knee) all look like they will still be sidelined.

We are almost at the end of 2018, but we haven’t seen Saturday’s match official since our opening game of the year.
After his promotion to the Premier League list in the summer, referee David Coote takes charge of his first PNE game of the season at Hillsborough this weekend.

The select group official, took charge of October 2017s clash with Brentford and the New Year’s Day game against Middlesbrough, his two North End games last season.

He was following two visits the previous season as well, including February’s 2-1 home win over Queens Park Rangers and also the first home game of the season when we took on Derby County in PR1.

Before that Rams clash, he last refereed the Lilywhites in their goalless draw at the New York Stadium against Rotherham United in 2015/16.
He was the referee of two PNE games the year before that as well. His first game of 2014/15 was the entertaining clash with Milton Keynes at Deepdale back in December 2014. He then took charge of the 2-2 draw at home to Gillingham in April of that year too.
In 2013/14 his two games in charge of North End were the 2-2 draw at home to Bradford City early on in the campaign and then at Tranmere Rovers’ Prenton Park for our 2-1 win over the Super Whites in February 2014.

So far this season, he has taken charge of 12 games, including at Fulham, Leicester City and Everton, issuing 40 cautions and three red cards.

He will be assisted by Simon Long and Neil Davies on the line, which the fourth official will be experienced select group two official and familiar face Andy Madley.

The club being up for sale is bogus news and lazy journalism!! At the fans forum, those who attended are saying that one day we would have. New owner and that if fans wanted him to go and the right offer came along then he might sell, but at no point did he say he was looking to sell now. I think the timing has everything to do with the fans forum he held on Thursday, it was clear from that what the fans thought.

Well sacking the manager worked for Wednesday worked though little did anyone realise that appointing match referee David Coote as interim boss was a bit of a surprise.
Wednesday brought back keeper Westwood after his falling out with previous manager raised the biggest cheer by a largely silent home support during an absolutely dire first 25 minutes. Enter Mr Coote still think Pearson's red card was harsh but these days it appears tackling is forbidden, however it that is a red card then Fletcher should have walked for his late lunge at Gallagher at least Pearson got the ball whereby Fletcher didn't also we didn't6 even get a free kick be nice if officials were consistent but that seems to be rare these days.
Wednesday had chances to lead at half time Fletcher denied by a great save by Ruddn and Joao headed against the post.

North End soon lost Moult injured however there was more refereeing farce as North End were about to substitute him Mr Coote allowed a corner to take place as the players were in the process of changing over.
A couple of more good Rudd saves before the Owls took the lead when North End switched completely off when the kick was taken Hector ghosting in as someone the size of an oil tanker does game over. Rudd went ballistic following the goal with Nmecha who was supposed to be marking the defender however wwas 50 yards away when the kick was taken.
We posed little threat after that Barkhuizen probably having the best chance with a header which he put over. We had a couple of free kicks one taken by Burke has to go down as being woeful. Fair play to the home side they won without looking remotely decent may all have been different if we had had 11 on the pitch.

"I thought it was very quick for the red card to come out, I'm not convinced there was any malice in it
