The machine keeps rolling as PSV Eindhoven continue winning ways with a 7-0 thumping of ADO Den Haag, the well oiled machine have Barcelona next which should be a lot more of a test

Second place Ajax fielded a strong side to continue early pressure on PSV with a 3-0 victory of Groningen with veteran Klaus Jan Huntleaar scoring twice, Ajax face AEK Athens in the Champions league midweek

Clash of third and fourth place gave equal honors as Feyenoord and AZ Alkmaar fought out a 1-1 draw

Biggest shock was newcomers FC Emmen overcoming FC Utrecht who had former Sheff Wed defender Urby Emanuelson sent off in their 2-1 loss, Dick Advocaat takes over for next week

Vitesse Arnhem with three Chelsea players on loan sit mid-table but still very early days, English fans may also remember Roy Beerens and Alexander Buttner who both play at SBV

NAC Breda currently sit bottom of the lead after Fortuna Sittard newly back in the division got their first win, NAC have three Manchester City loan players as well as former player Greg Leigh, if your old enough you may remember Bob Latchford there in the eighties!

Impressive performances in the friendlies against Peru and France look good as the Dutch build momentum towards EC qualification
Georginio Wijnaldum still needs to do more in Oranje as he does for Liverpool where he seems to have become the great all-rounder, his talent was never in doubt in Newcastle but his application was not currently the case
Very surprising that Tony Vilhena of Feyenoord hasn't been picked up by a EPL club, very much a defensive or box to box player, has been a great asset for the club a few years and done well at International level despite strangely being overlooked for more `famous ` names

Mixed week in Europe where Van Bommel`s domestically all conquering PSV were beaten 4-0 by Barcelona in the Champions league, despite the unflattering scoreline PSV played well against the manager`s former side being undone late on by Messi genius.
Winger Steve Bergwijn is wanted by AC Milan and Hirving Lozano`s agent mentioned Barca had contacted over the summer about the Mexican superstar

Better were Ajax who thrashed and outplayed AEK Athens 3-0
Naturally Ajax players are never far from the transfer scene with Frenkie de Jong and Mattias de Ligt bound to leave at some stage with Barca, Man Utd and Tottenham among teh names mentioned, Hakim Zayech with Roma and Nicolás Tagliafico with Napoli.

You may have heard about Man Utd perhaps using the buy back clause on Memphis Depay now at Lyon?

Big weekend, it`s one versus two, as PSV play Ajax this is worth a watch !

Never really followed any European leagues aside form the odd glance at the tables. I suppose it all comes down to access and over here in the US the Premier League is front and center, and multiple heads and shoulders above the coverage of all the other European leagues. You can get Bundesliga, Serie A and La Liga over here if you look hard enough for it, but never seen even a mention of the Eredivisie or Ligue 1 for that matter!!

Cant believe I can watch it on Facebook! Beautiful picture, no adverts, good English commentary, there is a paid service too I believe

PSV hammered Ajax 3-0, they just look more organized and the side more settled

Currently they are showing AC Milan V Atlanta , apparently streaming all the big foreign league games including Indian league

PSV continue the streak a 2-0 win over bottom side NAC Breda

Ajax remain second with a win over returnees Fortuna Sittard (Anyone remember when Phil Gray played for them?)

Surprise package Hercules Almelo continue in third place with a win over FC Emmen

Wolfsburg`s giant striker Woug Wieghorst still dreams of joining Liverpool one day, the impressive 6`5 striker was linked with West Ham over the summer, certainly would offer Mr Klopp a different edge up front

Despite impressive pre-season form on loan Leeds United striker Jay-Roy Grot has yet to score for VV Venlo though believes he`ll improve under assistant coach and ex Belgium legend Luc Nillis

Naturally most speculative news is based on the where will Frenkie de Jong end up

Ajax added to Bayern Munich`s `crisis` with a credible 1-1 draw meaning the German`s havent won in three matches (trying be a Man Utd fan!)

PSV take on Inter Milan tonight, I`m going to go Oranje on this hope I`m right

PSV`s Midfield man Jorrit Hendrix is being eyed by West Ham United, think of a highly talented Mark Noble

Similarly Chelsea are supposedly after Ajax midfield youngster Donny Van de Beek, given how poorly they've used Marco Van Ginkel stay where you are

Feyenoord back upto third place after a win against seventh place Vitesse Arnhem, win courtesy of Van Persie

PSV put up a very credible peformance against Inter although losing 2-1 on the night much to the brilliance of Argentinian revelation Mauro Icardi, they next face Tottenham Hotspur who have similarly lost their first two matches
On the domestic front the club hammered VV Venlo 4-0 to remain top of the table and have five players in the National squad to face Germany and Belgium, why not Jorrit Hendrix again?

Kenny Tete, Terence Kongolo, Justin Bijlow and Timothy Fosu-Mensah have all been left out after suffering injuries at the weekend, while Wout Weghorst, Ruud Vormer and Justin Kluivert (with U-21`s) have dropped out from the provisional squad, looking strong though, Groneveld has now pledged alleigance to Holland than rather Nigeria expect to hear more from that name soon

Goalkeepers: Marco Bizot (AZ), Jasper Cillessen (Barcelona), Jeroen Zoet (PSV).

Defenders: Patrick van Aanholt (Crystal Palace), Nathan Aké (AFC Bournemouth), Daley Blind (Ajax), Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool), Denzel Dumfries (PSV), Hans Hateboer (Atalanta Bergamo), Matthijs de Ligt (Ajax), Stefan de Vrij (Internazionale).

Midfielders: Donny van de Beek (Ajax), Frenkie de Jong (Ajax), Davy Pröpper (Brighton & Hove Albion), Marten de Roon (Atalanta Bergamo), Pablo Rosario (PSV), Kevin Strootman (Olympique Marseille), Tonny Vilhena (Feyenoord), Georginio Wijnaldum (Liverpool).

Attackers: Ryan Babel (Besiktas), Steven Bergwijn (PSV), Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld (Club Brugge), Memphis Depay (Olympique Lyon), Luuk de Jong (PSV), Quincy Promes (Sevilla).

Frenkie De Jong, Seven Van de Beek (Both Ajax) and Steve Bergwijn (PSV) place your bets as they seem mooted for every club-Man City, Tottenham, AC Milan, Barcelona, Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool

You think Ross McCormack took a step back at Villa? Well another player wowing the Australian league is Ajax playmaker and ex Captain Siem de Jong currently on loan at Sydney as his return to Dutch Football hardly came to much.

After making a right pigs ear of their use of their last Ajax signing Davy Klassen, apparently Everton are interest in current Ajax playmaker Hakim Ziyech , given that Gylfi is in amazing form and both Roma and Napoli have been after him much longer I`m guessing the Serie A move myself.

In the league Ajax continue pressure on leaders PSV with a 5-0 thumping of AZ Alkmaar to remain in second place, a rare start this season from Kasper Dolberg in place of David Neres or Jan Klaus Huntelaar tormented a very makeshift AZ defence

Third place Feyenoord dropped two points away at Willem II in a 1-1 draw , probably not helped by Giovanni Van Bronckhorst moving free scoring RVP as number 10 and giving out of form Nicolai Jorgensen the nod up front.

Is the dream over? Fourth place Hercules Almelo were thumped 4-0 by Vitesse Arnhem who moved upto Sixth, sadly none of the goals were from Chelsea loanees

Davy Propper has withdrawn from the national team squad due to injury, one player who seems to have fallen away with so much potential in a variety of positions is Crystal Palace`s Jairo Riedwald they picked him up for a steal-right back, centre back, defensive mid, long way back currently

Ajax, PSV and Feyernoord have taken the unprecedented step of sharing their earnings from the Champions League and Europa League with the rest of the Eredivise, with the intention of improving the overall standard of Dutch football.

Both Ajax and PSV have qualified for this season's Champions League group stages, with the Amsterdam club recently pulling off an admirable 1-1 draw away at Bayern Munich, with the group phase alone said to be worth around £20 million to each side.

But now an historic agreement has been put in place which means all of the lucrative earnings won't just end up in the pockets of the biggest clubs.

The country's three biggest clubs have agreed to give 10% of their earnings to the rest of the league, as a way of ensuring Dutch football doesn't fall too far behind the rest of the continent.

The Dutch national side have failed to qualify for the last two international tournaments, with this agreement seen as a way of attempting to halt the decline.
