This is another story re the Rangers "scum" who hurt or even kill people/other fans for some mistaken cause and the first thing that came to ny mind was Rangers Europa League final defeat by St Petersburg that preceded the infamous Manchester riots by the "scum" and the fact that similarly so many Russian fans were stabbed outside the Etihad Stadium after Rangers humiliation!!! Deja vu!!

To be fair this article fails to mention who did the stabbing nor who was stabbed!! At this point (or if other media have stated it) it could be Croatian or Rangers fans or for that matter any other fans who did this. I get that the obvious assumption is that its Rangers fans again showing their dark side, but we don't know that yet.

A good point SCO but I'm afraid Rangers are riddled with this kinda fan culture. While all other home-based Euro matches are trouble free, it's the usual crap "behaviour" that prevails at Ibronx! And don't forget the attacks on certain Scottish fans at Ibronx not so long ago. The antagonism, sectarionism and aggression cannot be defended. Indeed, it must be challenged!

I'm not saying its not them and I would make the same assumption considering their atrocious record, its just not confirmed yet. You are right, other clubs who have had a history of problems, particularly the bigger clubs have worked hard to eradicate this scourge as much as they can, Rangers need to be seen to do more both as a fan base and a club.

Confirmed it was croatian fans stabbed.  To be fair croatian fans were causing bother too, but it doesn't take away from the fact that ibrox can be a seriously dangerous place to visit for opposing fans.

They have an atrocious record for a reason SCO. Only the other week they were fighting with wigan fans after a friendly. The authorities and police have an amazing blindspot when it comes to that clubs sectarianism, violence and mass scale cheating. Which is why its never ever called out for what it is, violence from a support who have a long history of it. Manchester was when their true nature was shown to the world... and even then they tried to blame it on chelsea fans Laugh

Rangers certainly have a very bad element of fans who seem to go looking for trouble but lets not forget that Celtic have had 4 or 5 fines over the last few seasons because of their fans behaviour.
It needs to be weeded out of the clubs but nobody knows where or how to start.

I remember a long period when Glesca Rangers were stopped from even playing testimonial matches v English footie clubs, never mind normal friendlies, and the reason for this agreed ban was exactly what recently happened at Wigan - the consistent violence was unacceptable and finally tackled! Nothing has changed with the renamed Rangers FC in that respect!

We have had home friendlies with Rangers on two occasions in the last 3-4 years. The first one was a brilliant occasion, with Rangers fans turning up in numbers and a carnival atmosphere was produced by them and the home fans with plenty of stories of fans mingling before and after over a pint. Then two years later we invited them again, again they turned up in numbers but this time the atmosphere had a different edge and in the ned there was plenty of trouble and a lot of damage caused to the away end at Hillsborough by the Rangers fans. After that game our owner came out and said that would be the last time they were invited to S6!!

Its a shame they have this element to their fans and I would like to think its a minority, but their numpties do travel in numbers along with the proper fans and this type of thing inevitably happens often it would appear.

A lucky escape for this lad.

These numpties were also tossing missiles on to the pitch - clearly visible on the Sky Sport tv broadcast and not a single comment from Rangers FC at all re this issue - that says it all for me and I've never been impressed by the group of people who run this footie club when it comes to proper scruples and accountability. A sequence of 1-2-3 incidents and consequently fine the b####### and force them to issue a formal statement to their fans re expected behaviour!
