And now Barnier quickly "pulls the plug" on May's Customs proposal - no chance!

The Tories don't have a strategy. None of it has been thought through properly whatsoever. There are 2 options now. Call the whole thing off and stay inside the EU or have another referendum.

If the whole thing gets called off, the Tories will be finished and there will be people in uproar. If there is a 2nd referendum and Remain win then you will get Farage and UKIP back on the rise wanting another referendum. Well you get Farage and UKIP on the rise again if the whole thing gets called off.

If we decide to remain in the EU, the EU might want us in on new terms and conditions and one of those could be taking the Euro and joining Schegen.

Walking away is not an option and neither is no deal. I guess that a 2nd referendum will happen and it will be something like 54% Remain 46% Leave.

Is it actually possible to call the whole thing off at this stage?

Yeah just revoke Article 50. If we revoke Article 50 we stay in on the same conditions (unless the EU move the goalposts)

If we leave and want to rejoin we have to rejoin under different rules and regulations and won't have a seat at the table like we currently do.

If the whole thing is revoked then the Tories will be finished and I guess shit will go down like the Royalists and Parliamentarians civil war.

Who's barnier negotiating with this week ?

The guy he was told was in charge is now supervising stockpiling of food and medicines in the event of no deal and everyone else has fucked off on holiday. What a joke westminster is.

There is no negotiable path through this, thats just the nature of the world we live in today. The empire isn't coming back and we are much better off and much safer with europe.

The french have indicated yesterday that we could return to the EU on the same terms but may would have to move quickly. Which seems unlikely as the stupid xxxx is on holiday Laugh

I cant stress this enough - the EU is ready and prepared for a 'no deal' scenario. They might lose the UKs payoff (although barnier is such a shrewd bastard it wouldnt surprise me if he gets that too) but they are going to be raking it in from the companies and financial institutions relocating their name plates to the EU from the UK.

No deal means the UK will be a vassel state of trumps brand of lunatics.

No deal would be a very bad idea as we still need to trade with Europe.

If the Tories want to make Brexit a success then they need to look at investment in this country and that means setting up industry again and ploughing money into the economy, fat chance that will happen though because they like selling stuff and cutting things.

This country was famous for industry, we had cotton mills, mines, steel works, we built and produced cars and these industries built communities where people lived side by side and worked side by side. Nowadays what have we got? Supermarkets and call centres with zero hour contracts.

Jobs are disappearing because people are slowly being replaced by machines and towns, villages and communities are being left behind because the Government are not investing money into infrastructure in these areas and that is why people voted Leave because they are angry and they feel like they've got nothing left. Westminister live in a bubble inside the M25, they need to go explore the country and look at the North of England, Wales, Scotland etc.

Before the Brexit vote happened, companies were upping sticks and leaving Britain to go to Eastern Europe because it was cheaper and unless we get a deal it will still continue.

Another highly questionable practise by "vote leave" to add to the list of criticisms and still not enough being said to challenge brexit ever happening!!! This one is all about hiding behind an ad and targeting certain groups of people but not presenting their voting credentials to back an exit from the EU. IMO another blight against democracy that adds to that huge list of campaign violations that go a long way to winning that vote.

Ian Dunt's article is enlightening and, as emphasised at the end of it, it only covers the food industry - there are lotsa other areas of "chaos" that will cripple the UK!!! The existence of ignorant people like that toerag hijacker, Liam Fox and also Mundell up here in Scotland, brokering the possibility of a "no deal" is absolutely alarming and one wonders why these lunatics are being given an audience to "spout their shit"!
