Powerful striker Isaac Layne has signed for Stranraer following a successful trial spell.
Still just 23, Layne is entering his fifth season in Scottish football, having arrived at Alloa Athletic in January 2015 following spells at Southend United and Hayes & Yeading.
A product of the youth system at English Championship side Brentford, Layne has significant physical attributes which make him a handful for any defence.
He joins us after a year in the Scottish Championship with Brechin City, and despite scoring two goals as a trialist in Saturday's friendly win over Cumbernauld Colts, he has been on the Blues' radar for some time.
