Brazil V Switzerland

Well Brazil are 1-0 up but hardly looking much different than the side who performed so poorly at the last WC

Fine crisp passing Swiss side, Xhaka looks superb played as a deep lying playmaker those long passes are sublime-maybe get rid of Ozil at his club side and play him like Pirlo

I think Tite is showing that Brazil can play in multiple ways. It’s not just going to be sexy attacking football. There is a more defensive style that they can use as well when they’re a goal ahead and tonight their doing both.

I think that’s better than Scolari’s Brazil was.
Well.....

I think I may have cursed them with my comment.

Shit soft defending from Brazil. It's only a foul if your feet are off the ground. A slight push like that is not ever a foul. The VAR refs were dead right not to refer it. Thumb up

Another of the favored teams doesn’t get a win in their first game, still expect them all to get through but these results certainly make it more interesting.

Aye, none of Brazil, Argentina, Germany, Portugal and Spain have won their opening group match! The lesson so far is no opposing team can be underestimated!

I was disappointed with Brazil tonight. After the first 20 minutes and then the goal, I thought they looked really up for it and had were going to run riot and then they started to sit back and they lost their flow.
Still 2 more matches in the group to see their best.

Switzerland played well. We saw a physical and technical side to them and they and Serbia are evenly matched so next Friday is big for both teams.

Pundits on tv all say it was a push. In which case, so is every goal scored from a corner. There's contact all over the place. You can't give that as a foul. It's weak defending.

Brazil are poor. Compared to Brazil of the 70s and 80s.
