Never thought I'd ever say this but I'm glad to see that Jos is hoping to extend Nuhiu's contract. Venancio too.

I think we have to on both accounts for the simple reason it would likely cost us much more to buy a player to replace either of them. Both are likely to be squad players assuming everyone else is fit but both are capable replacements, and we have seen how important that is when we get injuries!!

I'm not averse to it, they're contracts on merit to be fair. Jones, Wallace, Abdi and co need to fkuk off!!

i was thinking we might be able to mug off sunderland with a few Boyd would suit them down to the ground and jones for a start ? Abdi we are stuck with plain and simple he will fleace us untill his contract is up i mean we couldnt even give him away could we ? ive said this before we need to pay him up and terminate his contract there is just no point in wasting space that a young lad could be taking up Angry pay him off and lets forget about possibly the worst signing in our entire history and thats saying something looking down a few from the years Doh

Quote:Sheffield Wednesday can announce the club’s retained list ahead of the conclusion of the 2017/18 season.

Daniel Pudil has signed a new one-year contract, while Glenn Loovens, Ross Wallace and Jake Kean will leave Hillsborough following the expiry of their current deals.

Contract offers have been made to Atdhe Nuhiu, Sean Clare, George Hirst, Dan Wallis, Warren Clarke and Jack Lee.

Loan agreements for Jacob Butterfield and Frederico Venancio end following the Owls’ final game of the campaign against Norwich City on Sunday.

Sheffield Wednesday would like to thank each of the departing players for their services and wish them well for the future.

Sign venancio and I'm happy with that

Venancio is a loan player anyway. He has to go back.
I'd like to sign him permanent

All pretty much as expected.

Wallace and Loovens not suited to the Championship Competitiveness anymore.

Nuhui's offer may only be a 1 year deal so he might hold out for offers of multiple years and more money elsewhere since his recent goal scoring will have made him more attractive to others.

I hope we try to sign Fred after the loan expiry but Butterfield can drive down the M 1 straight away.

It looks like we are stuck with the higher earning long term injuries but hopefully they will have mended and be fit by August  !! Doh Doh
