Never been a huge club, they had one spell when they had a huge management duo who worked miracles with them!!
Jury is out on Warburton I think. Did well at Brentford but that was on the back of someone elses team to a point. His Rangers spell didn't prove a lot for me, they should have been promoted, and he did that and once in the Prem they should have been in the top 4, which they are. Aside from that I don't see anything to suggest he is all that the media hype him up to be!!!

He did OK up here, no more than that, but the general opinion is that he's very blinkered in his outlook and doesn't like being under scrutiny. It's The Rangers Way, you know!

There of course will be the usual shout outs for Martin O` Neil and Nigel Clough to take charge, but I dont think the `legends` route is the way to go, Frank Clark did superbly after Clough but totally had his hands tied after helping them back to the premier league, didn't exactly go well for Stuart Pearce
Apparently Aitor Karanka is the fave although I believe Steve Maclaren is on the bookies fave list! Along with the usual names (Nigel Pearson)
Quite sorry that it didnt work out for Warburton, I think there is potential there with the right manager and the board think long term instead of quick fix, Tim Sherwood may be a good shout for a club who have invested heavily on their academy and one cant help but be impressed by the work Kevin Nolan is doing the other side of town
