Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general
Barrys gone by mutual consent .. sad realy as i think he could have done a job for us if we had a decent manager not a nutcase ! but i suppose thats one off the wage bill Thumb up

2-0 so far to us Joost in mcgugan out Thumb up

It will also be interesting to find out what went off aswell Huh if he talks we know we will hear the truth and possibly mien lunatic is to blame Whistle if he keeps stum then we know that the problem was all his making Confused

McGugan was never given a chance. CC has his favorites and McGugan was not one of them.

McGugan was the best signing we made in years, but then we changed gears and our targets went up a notch or two and he wasn't the golden boy he was when he signed!! As you say Imre, one day we will likely find out what happened but if the main rumour is to be believed it was McGugan who refused to play in a particular position/role that CC wanted and irrespective of the manager or club that usually leads to said player leaving.

With regards to others leaving I would like to see Nuhiu leave but I don't think he will at this stage and Matias can go wherever he wants for me. The rest we need to keep to make sure our squad can cope with the suspensions and injuries all clubs experience.

A real pacy winger would be good if we can get one in at this stage. Pace is the one thing we really lack and if Rhodes is still with us then as a poacher more than the other strikers he would benefit from a winger with pace who can get decent crosses in.

We might have let him go but only did so if we told him to keep quiet.

Mcgugan was given quite a few chances when CC first come here and played 50% good and 50% bad so chances he had at first before the problem whatever it was struck ! but how long can you punish a player for i mean if he did say sorry for whatever he did or not do ? which im sure he did after 6 months realising he didnt have a choice Whistle then surely he was worth another crack Doh especially when we lost lee last season and hutch for a few games aswell ! if that is what you mean by given a chance then you are not wrong but as for the football we saw from him like i said it was 50% at best Thumb down

on to charlies pacey wingers and may i add that wingers have not worked at Hillsborough since Brian marwood and weve had pacey ones ..many !! i would like to do away with feffing wingers at Hillsborough altogether when we get a manager who vcan play a better system of football without headless chicken wingers Angry

39 games 9 goals from midfield is hardly terrible is it. But he is a prima Donna
